Hi!

What was this squadron in the spring of 1940? As formed, who was its commander? It is known that on April 4 she received two "Bulldog", but nothing else about it can not find. Are interested in the spring of 1940, then more or less clear

According to Kari Stenman's book Mersu-laivue, it was formed as Täydennyslentolaivue 35 on 27 March 1940. First on 24 July 1940 it was renamed Lentolaivue 34. First commanders of T-LLv 35 was kapteeni Eino Carlsson.

I thought so too. But in SIH 12 Keskinen wrote this:
download/file.php?mode=view&id=400242

According to this book, LLv 34 in April-may 1940 was transferred to 6 "Bulldogs", and to T-LLv 35 7 "Gauntlets", 1 "Bulldog" and 1 "Gamecock" (+1 I-15bis)
It turns out that both squadrons exist simultaneously.

Your links also talk about it.

I think we must also remember that SIH12 is from year 1985. The book Mersu-laivue of LLv 34 was published in 2012. The same information, that T-LLv 35 was changed to LLv 34 on 24.7.1940, is also in the book Finnish Air Force 1928-40 published in 2006. SIH18 LeR 3 doesn't mention T-LLv 35 at all, it may be that some sources make the same shortcut.
