My experiences with the "chronicle" when researching Narva front in 1944 are rather good - probably only small random gaps concerning Soviet losses. It seems that the research in these books was done using mainly Baltic Fleet staff documents - if a piece of information is missing from high-level documents, then it is likely missing also from the "chronicles".
viewtopic.php?f=59&t=246934&start=15#p2375342

AFAIK there are some "gaps" in the shot down planes at the own side of the frontline: loss or damaged.

The data I have given for June is 99% complete. The losses of the KBF Air Force are given according to "CHRONICLE OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR OF THE SOVIET UNION IN THE BALTIC SEA AND LAKE LADOGA".
So the figure of 190 aircraft lost is most likely final.

275 IAD (fighter division) from 9.6-1.7.44:

total 54 fighter aircraft of which
50 in combat missions with reasons:
- 4 accidents (collusions, two Airacobras in 15 June 44, 2 Yak-9 in 28 June 44)
- 6 AA
- 37 in air combat
- 3 did not return

275 IAD lost 4 fighters in 1 July 44, all in air combat so their June losses have been 46 of which 36 either in air combat or did not return from combat mission

2 GIAK (PVO) losses in June 44

27 lost in combat missions:
- 5 AA
- 10 in air combat
- 12 did not return from combat mission
-15 pilots lost in combat of which one was captured by Finns.

277 ShAD:
49 lost Il-2s in combat
- 4 accidents
- 17 AA
- 28 in air combat
- Personal losses 65 crew members

Montly report of 281 ShAD, June 1944:
-17 Il-2 shot down in air combat
-10 Il-2 shot down by AA
- 2 Il-2 did not return

-total 29 Il-2s , 19 pilots and 23 gunners in combat missons
- 2 Il-2s,1 pilot and 2 gunners lost in none combat
+4 forced landing Il-2s

There was also one Il-2 loss:
09.06.44: 1 Il-2 (52 OKAE), pilot Obidin captured, no idea was his aircraft shot down by AA or in air combat. Likely AA.

276 BAD (bomber division, Pe-2s)
- 10 Pe-2 lost in combat, 20 crew members lost (killed or missing)
Accoding report of 276 BAD around half lost in aircombat and rest either caused by AA fire or accidents

- 4 Tu-2 lost, 1 air combat (10.06.44), 1 on landing (accident?, 09.06.44), 1 did not return 09.06.44, 1 shot down by AA 10.06.44
- 8 crew members lost

113 BAD (bomber division, Il-4)
Haven't found so far monthly loss report so i have to trust daily reports of 13 VA suggesting
- 7 lost Il-4 in combat, 3 or 4 shot down in aircombat and 3 or 4 by AA or accidents
- 23 lost crew members.

VVS KBF. Just like lemke_w_w_s_d_m i too have to trust Baltic Fleet Chronicle supported also by crew member list of personal losses. I have found these losses:

10.6.44: 1 Pe-2 force landing in Sestoresk (Siestarjoki). No crew losses. No idea was it AA or accident. Weather was not very clear during that day.

14.6.44: 3 Il-2 damaged by AA fire

15.06.44 1 Il-2 (8 GShAP, VVS KBF) shot down by AA in Karelian Isthmus at 17.08-17.18 (Vвуотта?). (Arch. 19104, L. 564.)
Smakov (jr sgnt) and jr.ltn Vasili Rybalchenko MIA (Vuotsi?, Vuotto?). During same day VVS KBF lost several Il-2s and La-5s also in Estonia (Rakvere-Rahula)

17.06.44: 2 Il-2 (8 GshAP, VVS KBF) shot down (AA) in Teikarsaari (Vasili Markov (jr ltn), Aleksander Protsuk (jr ltn)Viktor Volodin (serg), Nikolai Silantiev (jr sgnt) KIA)

18.06.44: 6 Il-2 (VVS KBF) shot down by AA in Bay of Vyborg. Found at least these members from lost list: Ivan Zhemok (7 gpshap), Basil Zakharov (7 gpshap), Ivan Zeljuk (7 gpshap), Vladimir Rextin(8 gshafp) mentioned AA, kaartt.luutn. Pjotr Babkin (8 gshafp ) mentionedAA, captain Nikolai Nikolajev (8 gshafp), Aleksei Cherenkov (8 gshafp ), Anatoli Soskov (47 shafp, Ristiniemi), Juri Seregin (47 shafp, Teikarsaari) and jr sgnt Ivan Maksimenko (35 shap ), Grigori Stulius (47 ShAFP), Pjotr Bratchikov aliluut 47 ShAFP, jr ltn Grigory Galushko 7 GpShaKP. I dunno are these days right ẃith connection of lost 6 Il-2s cases in Bay of Vyborg.

19.06.44: 3 Il-2 (VVS KBF) shot down by AA in Vyborg Bay. Note according C.F Geust VVS KBF lost also one La-5 but my humble opinion is suggesting VVS KBF lost that fighter in Estonia. Perhaps i'm wrong?

20.06.44: 2 Il-2 (VVS KBF) shot down by AA (alikers Vasili Lukonin (35 ShAP) died, Nikolai Ryaboshtan (35 ShAP) died, alik Vladimir Kulikov (7 GshAP), Sergei Arhipov (47 ShAP, Novayo Ladoga), jr ltn Mihail Zinoviev (7 GshAKP) KIA (AA) , jr ltn Vladimir Eisenmesser 35 ShAKP (AA)
20.06.44: 1 Il-2 (VVS KBF) accident

21.06.44: 4 La-5 (3 GIAP,VVS KBF) shot down in Piisaari,Vyborg Bay at 8.14 am (FW-190 mentioned). Pilots guards jr ltn Ivan Naumov 3 GIAP (MIA) and guards jr ltn Nikolai Kukharev 3 GIAP (MIA)
21.06.44: 2 LaGG-3 (VVS KBF) shot down in Vyborg Bay (first in morning, second between 15.10 – 17.17 ) jr ltn Aleksei Malakhov 11 IAP MIA,
21.06.44: 4 Il-2 (VVS KBF) shot down by AA in Vyborg Bay, two of them from ships : Aleksander Shevchenko 7 GPSKaKP (jr ltn.) Nikolai Trishankov 7 GShAP (jr sgnt, Vanhakylä), Nikolai Vargin 8 GShAFP (ltn), Victor Gubin 8 GShAFP (jr sgnt, Piisaari) KIA, Pjotr Maksyota 35 GShAKP (guards ltn, MIA), Konstantin Loskutov 35 GShAKP (sgnt),Nikolai Vargin 8 GShaFP 1 AE (guards jr ltn)

29.06.44: 1 Yak-9 (15 ORAKP, VVS KBF) shot down in air combat (Fw-190 mentioned) in Bay of Vyborg, ltn Ivan Voloshinenko KIA

Total VVS KBF losses : 1 Pe-2, 19 Il-2s, 4 La-2s, 2 LaGG-3s and 1 Yak-9

In short these reports are suggesting losses during June 1944 (or from 9.6 to 30.6.44):

- 80 fighters in combat missions ( at least 11 caused by AA, 4 accidents)
- 98 Il-2s in combat + at least 4 forced landings ( even as many as 46 may have been shot down by AA)
- 22 bombers in combat (around half or less than half shot down in air combat).

Total number of lost aircraft 200 but more than 10 caused by accidents. So pilots (including II./JG 54) or AA had likely less than 190 Soviet aircraft shot down what ever their claiming lists were suggesting. Then there is that everlasting issue of cases forced landings. These cases were real but were they really caused by enemy pilots of AA fire is another problem. For instance PVO have total 12 fighters grouped as "did not return". How sure can we be that they all were shot down in air combat?

Most deep digging were those monthly loss reports of 277 and 281 ShAD. For instance these reports are suggesting that almost all their combat losses from 9 June to 16 June 44 were caused either by Finnish AA or accidents. First Il-2 shot down by Finnish pilot was in 16 June 44 (1 Il-2 (703 ShAP) got hit in air combat, (crew captain Grafov wounded, Agafonov KIA)) Quite amazing (for most Finns) are also the losses of PVO and 275 IAD during first week. It took until 14 June 44 when Finnish pilots have their first Soviet fighter aircraft shot down in air combat (159 IAP lost La-5, ltn Evdokimov, Pavel KIA).

According these reports it's pretty clear that Finnish pilots during the first 8 days of Soviet offensive were quite unarmed and it was mainly AA and accidents causing most of Soviet aircraft losses.

These fighter losses were caused by accidents:

15.06.44: 1 Airacobra (196 IAP), collision Vorotnikov, Nikolay (ltn) KIA
15.06.44: 1 Airacobra (196 IAP) , collision, Nesterenko, Ivan (snr.luutn) KIA
28.06.44: 2 Yak-9 (14 GIAP) collision (sgnt. Sergei Gordeev, jr ltn.Aleksei Klepikov KIA)

At least these fighter losses caused by AA mentioned. PVO:

10.06.44: 1 Yak-9 (27 GIAP, PVO), AA, plane emergency landing and broken, pilot ltn Kruchnov lightly injured
13.06.44: 1 Yak-9 (26 GIAP ,PVO), shot down by AA northeast from Terijoki, pilot captain Kharitonov parachuted

After these cases PVO lost 3 more fighters by AA fire. Two of them were Yaks of 27 GIAP and one Yak-9 of 404 IAP.

Cases of 275 IAD:

15.06.44: 1 La-5 (159 IAP) shot down by AA, Bogatyrev, Sergey (captain) KIA in Raivola
18.06.44. 1 Airacobra (196 IAP) shot down by AA (no pilot losses? Manturov?)

After these days 14 GIAP lost one Yak-9 by AA fire and 196 IAP three more Airacobras by AA fire in June.

In my statistics, I take the period from June 1 to June 30.
Your loss data differs upward. Apparently, to understand where the error should be considered every day.
The losses of the Red Banner Baltic Fleet Air Force and the 13th Air Force were taken into account by me only over the Vyborg Bay and the Karelian Isthmus. The Red Banner Baltic Fleet Air Force actively operated over the Narva Bay, I did not take into account the losses there.

275 IAD lost 49 fighters
44 shot down in air battles (according to my analysis)
4 - in collision
1 - from AA

277 ShAD combat losses 45 Il-2
281 ShAD combat losses 29 IL-2
other parts - 2 IL-2
Air Force KBF - combat losses 18 Il-2
Total - 94 (Not 98)

Your data is significantly different for 2 GIAK (PVO) and 113 BAD. Perhaps they suffered some losses in other directions and I did not take them into account. For example 113 BAD acted in the 7th VA band.
Also, 2 GIAK (PVO) intercepted scouts from the southwest direction and could suffer losses while doing so.

It's relatively better to read monthly reports of certain VVS RKKA units which operated in Karelian Isthmus. They have more details of their losses how, when and why aircraft were lost.

This is interesting (and also quite critical) report of 275 IAD (June 1944)

https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view ... 44cc67a5v1

First page: 50 aircraft lost in combat mission until 1 July 44 + 4 in non combat mission:

https://cdnc.pamyat-naroda.ru/pamyat/%D ... 000065.jpg

Combat losses (50) and days (14 June to 1 July) .First fighter lost in combat 14 June 44 (La-5 of 159 IAP). Biggest losses in 20 June (11) and 28 June (14).

https://cdnc.pamyat-naroda.ru/pamyat/%D ... 000066.jpg

Part of report mentioning that 6 fighter aircraft were lost by enemy AA fire. (4 of then Airacobras of 196 IAP). Also mentioned 4 cases of collusion (15 June and 28 June).

https://cdnc.pamyat-naroda.ru/pamyat/%D ... 000068.jpg

And here's the same with PVO 2 GIAK (June 1944):

https://cdnc.pamyat-naroda.ru/pamyat/%D ... 000088.jpg

-10 fighter aircraft in air combat
- 5 by AA
- 12 did not return from combat mission
- 15 fighter pilots lost in combat

This is June 1944 report of 277 ShAD with details of every lost Il-2. 28 in air combat, 17 by AA and 4 accidents

https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view ... 131f41d4v1

From page 8 there are details of every combat lost Il-2.

And here's the same with 281 ShAD. From page 34 every lost Il-2 with details when and how aircraft was lost in combat. 17 in aircombat, 10 by AA, 2 did not return, 2 non-combat losses + 4 forced landing.

The difference in losses is clearer now for me.
My losses of 275 IAD include only June, and in the data given by you, it includes 1 July.

https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view ... 44cc67a5v1

This report is probably not all accurate either. According to this report, 1 La-5 was lost on June 14. According to my information, 2 La-5s were shot down. Evdokimov (killed) and Bebko, the latter survived, was wounded, the plane was crashed.

In total, according to my data, in June 275 IAD lost 49 aircraft. According to the above report, if we discard the losses on July 1, the losses are less - 46 aircraft.

My source gave combat losses for 275 IAD: 46 fighters from 14 June to 30 June. 4 in 1 July. Then there are 2 fighter losses in early June ( 2June and 6 June). Total 48 in June 1944. With Bebko (La-5) the result is 49.

Was Bebko pilot of 159 IAP? 191 IAP came to front line duty from 26 June, I guess so?

How about your data of PVO?

There are actually more than 27 fighter aircraft losses of PVO during June 1944, some of them however accident/catastrophe. PVO June report mentioned 27 fighter aircraft lost in combat and 8 fighter aircraft (+ 1 UT-2, ) loss in non combat (accident/ catastrophe).

30.06.44: 1 Yak-9 (404 IAP, PVO) did not return: pilot Botov (pilot not mentioned as lost in June report, nor in personal loss report)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total 35

- 10 Yaks
-10 La-5s
- 15 Airacobras

According to PVO 2 GIAKs loss table regiments lost (June 1944):

HQ lost 1 UT-2 in accident

11 GIAP: 1 La-5 in combat + 1 in non-combat.........................2 (2 pilots lost, one of them in non-combat)
26 GIAP: 1 Yak-9 in combat (AA) + 1 in non-combat...............2 ( no pilot lost)
27 GIAP: 5 Yak-9 in combat (2 AA) - no non-combat losses....5 (3 pilots lost in combat)
27 GIAP: 1 Yak-7 in combat (AA) - no non-combat losses.......1 ( no pilot lost)
102 GIAP: 2 Airacobra in combat + 1 in non-combat...............3 (2 pilots lost in combat)
102 GIAP: 9 Airacobra in combat + 1 in non-combat..............10 ( 6 pilots lost in combat)
400 IAP: 1 La-5 in combat + 1 in non-combat ..........................2 (1 pilot lost in non-combat)
401 IAP: 3 La-5 in combat + 1 in non-combat...........................4 ( 2 pilots lost)
403 IAP: 2 Airacobra in combat + 1 in non-combat...................3 (no pilots lost)
404 IAP: 2 Yak-9 in combat (1 AA) + 1 in non-combat .............3 (1 pilot lost)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
27 fighters in combat (all 5 by AA were Yaks, one was Yak-7) + 8 fighters in accident/catastrophe, total 35

- 11 Yaks ( 10 Yak-9, 1 Yak-7)
- 8 La-5
- 16 Airacobras

Pilot losses: 15 fighter pilots in combat and 2 in non-combat

Though total numbers of fighters lost (35 combat and non-combat) were same there were some mistakes with reports with types (and units?). No mentioned in daily report about combat loss of Yak-7, one Airacobra loss missing (403 IAP) but 2 La-5 losses are likely too much (or in table of losses two La-5 losses are missing?).

According to my data, the 275th IAD lost 49 aircraft from 1 to 30 June. And the lost 1 P-40 - June 2 is not included in this figure (if I was not mistaken). Since he was shot down by 3./JG 54 in the Narva direction.
Downed P-39 - June 7th is included in this figure.
Yes Berko pilot 159 IAP.
If we continue about 159 IAP, then in June it turned out - 14 combat losses, and not 11 as in the above-discussed report.
Yes, 191 IAP began to operate later than others, at the end of June.

Combat losses of 2 air GIAK PVO I got in June - 20 aircraft. But now I see that they are not complete.

Thank you lemke_w_w_s_d_m. So the P-40 loss against 3./JG54 was actually that of 191 IAP. Do you have any details of PVO losses in June either in Karelian Isthmus or against Germans in other fronts? If we put the case of Bebko to daily losses, the 275 IAD diary of losses in combat might look like this one:

02.06.44: 1 P-40 Kittyhawk (191 IAP, jnr ltn Anatoy Yurkov KIA) air combat .... against Luftwaffe 3./JG54
02.06.44: mentioned also Airacobra pilot captain Sergey Makashev (196 IAP), born 1915 as MIA. Was it non combat loss? Or was the day wrong because there was also 275 IAD (regiment number missing) pilot name captain Sergey Makashov ( born 1915) mentioned as MIA in 2 July 44.
06.06.44: Yak-9 pilot guards ltn Kozlov, Ivan Artemievich (29 GIAP) born in 1921mentioned died. Was it non combat loss? Or was day wrong? 17 June 44 seems to be the right one?

Are there any kind of details where those 27 fighter combat losses of PVO have happened? After tracking daily reports from 2 GIAK i haven't found much evidence that many of losses have been outside Karelian Isthmus or Bay Of Vyborg. Actually there might be cases were non-combat losses (accidents) can be linked also to offensives of 21st Army, 23rd Army and 59th Army. True. During the first days of offensive 26 GIAP, 400, 401, 403 and 403 IAP were mostly securing Leningrad area but as we can see these units involved in combat in Vyborg area later.

Just like with 275 IAD their losses were moderate before 17th June and mostly caused by either accidents or Finnish AA. However things changed after II./JG 54 arrived and daily loss reports are showing
