Dear Esa

To be checked.
26th Separate Guards Heavy Tank Regiment : - : Lt. Col A. G. Kuts : - : IS-2
Some internet sources said that regiment was equipped by KV-1S and "Churchill" Mk IV.

Can't find anything about 1326th SPG Regiment. OOB for 01 july 1944 at http://victory.mil.ru/war/oob/bs_1944.1.07.html didn't mention it (and 1439th SPG Regiment too but it mentioned in memoires of Golushko).

Dear Esa
Only small corrections need. I think the list is complete, I can't find any other soviet tank unit in Karelian Isthmus (but armored train and armored car units).

Corrections and additions:
30th Guards Tank Brigade - Col. S.A. Sokolov (Sergey Aleksandrovich)
27th Separate Tank Regiment - 01.07.44 in the 21.A
952nd SPG Regiment - 01.07.44 in the 23.A ; 29.06.44 it supports 142nd rifle division (115.AC)
124th Separate Tank Regiment - Lt. Col P. S. Kiselev (Piotr Semenovich)
1238th SPG Regiment - may be SU-152

Can't find any information about 1326th SPG Regiment. :(

Some days have passed since I was here last, too much football I guess...

Thanks Rodan for the pieces of info and the link, a new improved list I have compiled of the units will soon appear below.

Havent either found anything more about a 1326th SPG Regiment at Carelian Isthmus during the summer of 1944, will continue to search, but think it can be a unit that was mis-identified by the Finnish military intelligence and that "lives" further like a "ghost" in the Manninen unit list I refeered to.

Well, had some more questions, but think I will let them wait for a while...

Thanks again and best regards.

And comments and corrections are very much appreciated...

...and now I´m tired about this, lets instead start a flame-war on if Col. Björkman was a greater armoured brigade commander than Col. Kovalevskij... :) Nooo, bad joke....

...cause I´m preparing a continuation on this list, at least it will cover the period from 21/6 1944 to 7/7 1944.

Best regards, again

Hi,

Esa you have made good work. As soon as I shall find the information and I will have time I shall throw off the information in this string.

Why to you to not add number of tanks in Soviet unit?

Best regards!

Alex.

Hi again
Alex Yeliseenko wrote:Esa you have made good work.
Thanks Alex for the kind comment.
Alex Yeliseenko wrote:Why to you to not add number of tanks in Soviet unit?
Do you mean the nominal strenght the units should have, then I thought it´s pretty easy to find those figures here and there on the net and so on.
Or, do you mean the actual strenght the units had during the time span in question, then it would be interesting to add the numbers of the tanks in the units, I have not so much info about it, but if you, or someone else, have info about it, I will put it in the lists.
Alex Yeliseenko wrote:As soon as I shall find the information and I will have time I shall throw off the information in this string.
Take your time Alex, cause it´s gonna be interesting to see what you have found.

Still in the progress to update and extend the list above, as an exemple, I have found some units in the list (in this link: http://www.victory.mil.ru/war/oob/bs_1944.1.07.html ) that Rodan L. provided thats missing in ”my” list, but they are going to be added, like the 222nd Separate Tank Regiment, it was at Vuosalmi in Juli 1944.

So to be continued...

Hi,Esa

Actual strenght. I have some numbers for July, 20th and on some dates of June. Within two days I can place them in this string or throw off to you in private message.

...and some questions connected to the post above:

As all can see there´s still a lot of work to be done before the list is completed, so, I would be very grateful if someone could help me out with following (as a start... )

1. The full name of the commanders in those cases those is still missing, as I think it would ease the search of them on the net and so on. And I also would be grateful if someone could check out the translitterations of the names so that they can all be correct tranlitterated into English (as this is a forum where that language is to be used), as some of the names in the now given state have a Finnish, or Swedish, translitteration.

2. A more precise equipment list is of course interesting...

3. The level of subordination of the units during different dates is in some cases not correct, but are assumptions and guesstimations done by me, so more and correct info on this is welcomed.

4. And same with the geographical locations date/date. Some of them are just hypothetical, it should be pretty correct untill 20/6 1944, but then it is again to large extent guesses on where the units most probably was, so again, I will be very grateful for every piece of info about this.

...and of course, other bits and pieces of facts and info about above is welcomed.

Best regards

again
