Great Info!
I think that the pilot will be identified with all this effort. On a side note I found this interesting article on a Soviet pilot whose remains were pulled from his wrecked plane in a Russian bog. warning ,Some images might be a bit disturbing to some.

"The pilot might be Junior Lieutenant S.P. Korolev from 65 ShAP. His name appears on the losses 7th Army on September 3rd 1941".
Re: unknown Russian pilot
Found two additional prints of this very bird from the archives. Both prints are marked with "1941" year stamp. It seems same soldiers and children with cold weather clothing can be observed in these photographs perhaps suggesting they were taken the same day.
Re: unknown Russian pilot
The I-153 pilot was Lt. Semen Petrovich Korolev (b. 1917), 65 ShAP. According to information on the Russian pamjat.naroda web-page, he was shot down on 3 September 1941 in air combat at Kinerma, Vedlozero (in Finnish Kinnermäki, Vieljärvi). The I-153 fighter crashed at Pienisyrjä hill in the outskirts of Kinerma village.
Korolev was apparently shot down the date before (2 September), and on 3 September 1941 Korolev was reported missing. There are also two photos of Korolev on the Russian website (enclosed).
