Hi Juha:

Unfortunately, my level of interest does not go to the level of "who" or "when" and I mostly try to add the "where" if it appears in the original caption.

The car in your photo is a 1939 Chevrolet as you can see below.

Very nice shot of a 1934 Plymouth, Kerry.
I do not recognize the plate as a military registration but I don't have a reference to civilian Finnish plates so it may have
been impressed but not yet re-registered.

Neither does mine, nor even to the theme here.
Just using the probable "owner" of the car in question, as a tool at my unsuccesful attempt(s) to try to help.

Hejsan Juha:

My Dear Friend, you have no idea how useful and valuable your input to this thread and other similar ones is to me and others
interested in the rather narrow field of interest of softskins. Please do continue.

I did not intend to dismiss the importance of the persons involved or the dates, it is just that my concentration is on the
vehicle type and that is something I know a little about. The other items, I know next to nothing about although I
do fully realize they may be very important to our Finnish members or others who have a detailed interest in Finnish history.

Regarding trying to help, I do hope others continue to put up ID question photos, and not all from SA-Kuva, on vehicle types
as this is an area where I hope to continue to contribute some knowledge.

Cheers

Bill

Hi,
By occasion - if I may say so - would anybody clear out how it was with SA registration numbers? Was it black lettering on white or yellow shield? When was it yellow?
Cheers,
Pawel

Hello Sturm,

Good question! One of the LV80/LV90 series is the best answer I can give. If someone knows how tell the difference between the various models without looking under the bonnet I hope they post that here.
Cheers,
Max
