Hi,

53 RSO (Raupenschlepper) were purchased from the Germans in 1943, but didn't arrive till sometime in '44, and then only 30. Does anyone has a date on this?

Found in: Terä, Martti V: Kesäkuun kriisi 1944, Helsinki 1967, this info:

Page 48. Ordered from Germany 6/12 1943: 40 Artillery tractors (I assume its about the RSO´s?). Delivered artillery tractors: 26/2 1944: 8 tractors. 18/3 1944. 27 tractors. 26/3 1944: 5 tractors. = 40 artillery tractors???

Ibid, appendix 3. Tracked tractors (RSO´s?): Delivered in January-April 1944: 40 tractors; June-September 1944: 13 tractors = 53 (???).

Well this at the moment, hope it is to some help although it looks like this gives new questions than answering your initial one...

the RSO's were ordered for towing their new 105 H/33 (German 105mm leFH 18) so Artillery Tractor fits as a designation. The numbers look ok too; so the number of 30 delivered that I had may be in error or was only for some time Feb'44 through March. At least the 105 H/33 were also delivered at the same timeframe.

Yep, at least acording to Terä 1967 page 48: Ordered 5/10 1943: fiftythree 105H/33. Delivered: 26/2 1944 eight 105H/33; 7/3 1944 sixteen 105H/33 and 11/4 1944 twentynine 105H/33.
