Post a link to the photo and if it was in one my posts, I can probably help you. Otherwise, I'm sure there'll be someone on this forum who knows the source on sight :D

In the article What If-Finland had been prepared for the Winter War? by CanKiwi2, there is a photo of Finnish recruits marching. You can see the image here if you scroll down: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 7&start=75 The image of the marching recruits. I am interested in getting a scan of this image for reproduction in a book.

Thanks,

Ruth

Hi Ruth

I sourced it from here - (http://www.mosinnagant.net/finland/Civi ... nPage4.asp) - this was written by Jarkko of http://www.jaegerplatoon.net - you'll find his email address on his website - if you contact him he may be able to point you to the source.

I knew Finnish army was weak, but was still surprised to see how weak it acctually was, listening to the lecture of dr. Suprin. Their tactics was good and Soviets made quite some mistakes.

Well, guess after a 5 year break, I better re-read what I'd written and see if I can pick it up again :)

Welcome back CanKiwi2!
Thank you :D - it's a bit intermittent since that last post. Was meaning to jump back in and continue, but I'm working for a large pharmacy chain, and I've been heads down on systems work for our retail system - prepping for vaccine rollout, and it hasn't left me any time to continue with this. Hopefully by later this year.... in the meantime, I shall continue being a bit more than a lurker as and when I have time...

Who is she?
her name is Eevi "Devon Jade" Hämäläinen
she works at the candy shop next to my combination gas station, grocery, beer, & gun shop [very common in Montana]
she's mighty handy with a gun & a knife, & hockey stick
unfortunatelly she is preparing to become an Ursuline nun, quite a loss
