Depth charges
Hi all,
I found this image from SA-Kuva archive (91675). It is a soviet depth charge.
Does anyone know his soviet designation and characteristics?

Re: Depth charges
I'm not that sure that that is a Soviet origin depth charge on a Finnish MTB.
To where you base your claim?

I think the boat at the photo is a Finnish Thornycroft type mtb (in the late 20's either British or Finnish built )Sturm78 wrote:Well, the ship is a captured soviet G-5 type torpedoboat....

Swedish designation was M/33
https://digitaltmuseum.se/011024817449/sjunkbomb
Thrower M/24 :
the M/33 thrower did not look the same
https://digitaltmuseum.se/011024818391/ ... -SMM-MM%22
DC M/24:
https://digitaltmuseum.se/011024818389/ ... -MM%22&i=6
The "amusing" fact is taht Swedish navy still operates these,
Maintenance instructions can be found here:
http://mvif-online.se/pdf/avsnitt/612_51.pdf
The DC throwers confused be as they where designated "Mortars" in some Swedish export documents.
Cheers
