Impossible to tell what the signature is from these photos. You need to provide better ones first.

Here is a link to a larger picture of the first painting. I hope the auction house won't remove it soon.

I think the best way to find out who these sapper and infantry lieutenants were, is to trace who the previous owners of the paintings were. It is possible that the owners were the men themselves.

Re: Painting
I have already tryed that, they dont know . But I think you right , I think Its the guy on the link that Recently past away , the uniform that was sold matches the painting . Its really frustrated not knowing His name. My father is an expert in facts about the war and collected litterature about it for 50 years. So If I only had a name ....
Re: Painting
Was it common that officers orded paintings on them selfs? The red collar guy is infantry?

Re: Painting
Infantry has green collar patches. The other has purple collar patches of pioneer/sapper troops. I think here parents have ordered paintings of their sons. Maybe somebody can tell about the infantry lieutenant's decoration ribbon and shoulder batch.
Re: Painting
Hmmm I talked to a guy on the Finnish war museum and he said the red collar was infantry?

Re: Painting
So we are not sure about the red color collar? The thing is I also bought the uniform with red collar. Wherecan I find help with identifikation of these guys? My father has spent half His life researching places and books about the war. If I only had their names he could tell me a lot about them. I do not have big hopes about finding the artists names , I dont think they are any big artists. As I said I sent pictures to war museum in Helsinki and the said Pioner and Infantri.
