One may sometimes find a reference to a fact that there are only two vessels used by the Finnish Navy during the WWII have been preserved. This is not entirely true as the following list proves. Also, minelayer Ruotsinsalmi (commissioned in 1941) was scrapped during the 1990s and motor torpedo boat Jymy (commissioned in 1939) was scrapped as late as 2009.

Minelayer Loimu - Launched in 1915. Sold in 1964. Preserved as a houseboat around Ingå.
Patrol boat Turja - Launched in 1928. Sunk in 1939 in Petsamo. Raised in 1940. Sold in 1976. Currently owned by an individual in Sweden.
Submarine Vesikko - Launched in 1934. Preserved in the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress in Helsinki.
Patrol boat VMV 11 - Launched in 1935. Sold in 1960. Preserved in the Maritime Museum of Finland in Kotka.
Minesweeper Ajonpää - Launched in 1942. Sold in 1960. Currently for sale by an individual.
Motor Torpedo Boat Tyrsky/Taisto - Launched in 1943. Preserved in the Forum Marinum Maritime Centre in Turku.

Tugboat Aunus - Launched in 1900. Handed over to the USSR in 1940. Preserved as TSch-100 in Novaya Ladoga.
Training ship Suomen Joutsen - Launched in 1902. Preserved in the Forum Marinum Maritime Centre in Turku.
Icebreaker Tarmo - Launched in 1907. Used as an auxiliary gun boat during the Winter War. Preserved in the Maritime Museum of Finland in Kotka.
Transport Wilhelm Carpelan - Launched in 1915. Preserved in the Forum Marinum Maritime Centre in Turku.

S/S Ukkopekka - Launched in 1931. Served as an escort ship during the Winter and Continuation War. Preserved as a tourist ship in Turku.
Transport Pukkio - Launched in 1939. Sold in 1980, currently privately owned as Nelli.
Transport Porkkala - Launched in 1940. Sold during the 1980s(?).

What are the two commonly cited?

Vesikko must be one of them.

Thank you for the list, great list.

Vesikko and Taisto, perhaps they are more memorable as both sunk an enemy vessel.
