Gentlemen,
I am looking for information on the retaking of the Viipuri railroad station in 1941. Only one source mentions fighting Russian holdouts and I need more information on which units were involved.
Thanks!

According to the war diary of the 8th Division (8.D), the first Finnish patrol entered empty Viipuri shortly before 4 p.m. on 29 August 1941. By then, the station had been destroyed. According to the war diary of the 1st Battalion of Infantry Regiment 45 (I/JR 45), the patrol was possibly theirs.

Mangrove! Thank you very much. I had read an internet article years ago that stated there was fighting here in 1941. That webiste no longer exists. What you have provided certainly helps!
