How high up is the Vuoksi navigable? Did the Ladoga fleet travel up the Vuoksi in any capacity?

Taipaleenjoki River connecting Lake Ladoga and Vuoksi is not navigable by major ships due to Vaskelankoski and Kempinkoski rapids.

Viipurin Höyryvene O/Y operated route Antrea-Paakkola from 1893 onwards. Vuoksen-Suvannon Höyryvene O/Y was formed on 20 October 1912. The company operated steamers in routes Kiviniemi-Pölläkkälä, Kiviniemi-Antrea, Hirvisaari-Pölläkkälä, Kiviniemi-Metsäpirtti and Kiviniemi-Sakkola.
