Is this a Finnish Army uniform ?

Post by mil-archive » 15 Feb 2023 15:44

Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone can confirm this is a Finnish Army uniform circa 1941/1942 ?

It seems to match some cap and cuff images I have seen but those were very low res and so looking to confirm. If possible also which branch/rank if that is known too.

Thanks for checking,

Not 100% certain, but it looks like the man is wearing the Finnish M27 field tunic.

Thank you for that. Very interesting site. I think the 3 cuff buttons and 2 side pocket ones confirm it for me.

Thanks - the linked website is mine. Also the cap appears to be Finnish Army field cap m/22 and the pistol holster seems to be for Nagant m/1895 revolver.
