Hello!
I am currently reading Henrik Meinander's bio of Marshal Mannerheim ("Mannerheim - Marshal of Finland - A Life in Geopolitics") and he made mention of an assassination attempt on Mannerheim's life possibly by disaffected Jaegers in February 1918 (pg. 93). I checked J. E. O. Screen's "Mannerheim - The Finnish Years" on pg. 23 he also made mention of an attempt that targeted Mannerheim's salon car. Both authors did not offer any further details. Does anyone have any more information on this event?
Cheers,
Mike

Re: Assassination Attempt on Mannerheim
According to a book by Mikko Tyni, on 25 February 1918 Mannerheim's salon car was stormed by a group of jaegers at the Seinäjoki railway station, but Mannerheim was at the time elsewhere. Information on this attempt is rather sketchy.
