Soviet expansionism, the real origins of winterwar and worldwar2.
The real origin of ww2 is in the so called ribbentrop-molotov pact.
If you look at the map you see that soviets started conflicts all along its european border, occupation of eastern poland, occupation of baltic states, occupation attempt of finland(witch failed, as we all know), occupation of bessarabia from romania and negotiations with turkey.
Finland was only country in the list that was able to resist soviet expansionism.
Germany and Soviet Union are equally responsiple for starting ww2. By signing the molotov-ribbentrop pact, both countries covered their back from each other, thus giving them free hand in their agreed spheres of influence. Both countries attacked poland, which forced westernpowers to respond by declaring war on germany. Thus started ww2.
People here are discussing who started winterwar, continuationwar, was there a rightwing conspiracy, jewish conspirasy, british banker conspiracy and other ludicrous things.
Finland was just a small pawn in a way too big game and could not much influence how things went.
So the only "conspiracy" was the molotov-ribbentrop pact, which started ww2.
Just had to spill my heart, sorry.

Thanks Teukka,
Soviets were a clear and present danger in 1939.
Our chief or the armed forces was very genial to see all this and navigated us to a formidable free state during the hard years of 1939-1944. Soviets won the war, but lost the peace.
Map is an excellend reference material on this site.
