What is the best book about the Finnish war?

Post by Shc » 13 Sep 2004 21:49

I admire quite a lot when they were left alone to defend against the Soviet Union in '39. Too bad they ended up losing their war against the Soviet Union :(

But I seem to know very little (compared to you guys..) so I am wondering if there is a good book about this.. (quality over quantity!)

I only know the general stuff about the Finnish war.

I am not sure if you got that right now mister.

USSR tried to conquer Finland twice ( Molotov even went and asked a permission from Hitler for the second attempt )...I dont see USSR around anymore do you ?

Point was, Finland was there before and is still here after the SU. :D (we Finns take a special pleasure about the fact..)

And anyways, freedom must be earned and for me and for many other finns no price is too great for that, personally im willing to give my life if i must to so that Finland and other Finns may remain free.. its just one of those things that a Canadian cant understand.. i guess.. :P
