Thanks Juha

http://www.mattinykanen.net/thoughts.html  Matti, The Man, The Myth, The Concept...

Funny, among the first things I saw on the plane was the fact that it is a two seater, then that it was Swedish, next thought: Winter War, F 19, but it«s not a Hart or Gladiator, so Aha, a tricky q, it must be a Jaktfalken and therfore not F 19, and was then so concentrated on other details to determine if it was a J 6A or B, so I forgot my first observation... :o

My Q:

If someone is talking about Continuation War, mentions the town Karhumaki, and also mentions "80", what is he/she then probably talking about?

Tapio Rautavaara, the Finnish athlete, singer, actor and whatnot, threw a javelin 80 metres in Karhumäki in 1943.

So it is said...

...that Tapio Rautavaara threw a javelin +80 meters (however during training, so no word record for him, but his wartime training gave some results, gold in London Olympics 1948) at the sports field in Karhumäki (whats the Russian name of the town?) in 1943.

Explanation to the hint: Speer in German, is Javelin in English :)

...and, over, with regards, from Esa K to Tapani K.

The same gentleman as in the previous picture stands to attention here while a superior officer extends his hand to greet him.

I might be making this a bit too easy now, but let's see what happens.
