Re: The official AHF Winter & Continuation War quiz thread
Okay, here is the explanation. These codes (T44433, T44520, T44539, T44561, T44563, T44653) are manufacturer's serial numbers for T-34-85 tanks, which I have picked up from the bow of the existing tanks here in Finland. They were made by factory Nr. 183 in April 1944 when the monthly production rate was 696 tanks giving a daily mean rate of 23,2 tank. The first one, 433rd tank would have been ready on 13th April and the 653rd on 29th April.

So... Esa, would you like to post a new question, or do we declare it open to the fastest one?

Re: The official AHF Winter & Continuation War quiz thread
Well, here is my second try. It is not completely related to war time happenings, but the origins are there and it has to do with the war time material anyhow. Here it is:
You might see in documents and on equipment a marking Ps. 163-33 and Ps 163-33. Explain the reason for difference (period after letter s).

Vaunu on T-26 m 33, mutta pisteellistä Ps. 163-33 en löydä. Toivottavasti joku muu löytää ja keksii selityksen...
Edit: I unintentionally wrote in Finnish.

Sorry! Supplementary information: the registration codes Ps. 163-33 and Ps 163-33 are to be considered only as examples. That particular T-26 tank itself does not play any role in the quiz.

As no one else has tried to answer, a wild guess.
Those vehicles that were converted to training purposes wore numbers with hyphen, like this T-26T - T-26K:

With best, J-P

Re: The official AHF Winter & Continuation War quiz thread
The correct answer is this:
When the registration code system was created and introduced in 1943, the code was to be written with a period (like Ps. 163-3, SA-photo 140290). The system was changed in 1956 when the new order asked the codes to be written without the period (Ps ).

Re: The official AHF Winter & Continuation War quiz thread
Here it comes.
Great 3D-model of the "bunker" for 4MG and the underground gallery for men.
Question #1: Name this one.
Question #2: How many "bunkers" for 4 MG:s were made on the Enckell/Mannerheim- line.

This is Sk2 bunker (Summakyla). So-called Hotinen-gate in soviet troops.
Best regards.
