i'm looking for informations of this trial : schandelah trial (brunswick.3.2.1947);
i research the sentences of each defendant.

Here is some information on those sentenced to death in that trial.

FRIEDRICH EBSEN(1888-1947)
Ebsen served in flossenberg from 1942 till january 1943 then he was sent to Neuengamme.He was then commandant of Schandelah labour camp.Said to be a sadistic brute who gave orders to the guards to beat all prisoners wearing paper bags to supplement there clothing in the bad weather.Tried by a British military court in Brunswick he was sentenced to death.He was hanged in Hamelin on 8th may 1947.
KARL TRUSCHEL(1894-1947) Truschel was drafted into the ss and in december 1942, as a ss unterscharfuhrer he was sent to Neuengamme camp.From july 1944 he was Ebsens deputy in Schandelah labour camp and was known by the inmates as “killer”.Tried by a British military court in Brunswick he was found guilty of killing a Russian inmate and of beating prisoners.He said he shot a inmate who was trying to escape.He was sentenced to death and hanged in Hamelin prison on 8th may 1947.
ARTUR GROSSE(1906-1947) Grosse was a former kapo in Neuenegamme concentration camp then in Schandelah labour camp.Tried by a British military court in Brunswick he was sentenced to death for beating to death a French inmate.He was hanged in hamelin prison on 8th may 1947.
JOHANN HEITZ(1923-1947) Heitz was drafted in 1943.He was made a dog leader in Neuenegamme concentration camp until September 1944,then he was placed in Schandelah labour camp,again as a dog leader.Tried by a British military court he admitted shooting three prisoners but said it was because they were trying to escape.Found guilty he was sentenced to death and hanged in Hamelin prison on 8th may 1947.
SOLMS WITTIG
Wittig was the manager of Steinoel company which used prisoners from Schandelah labour camp to do the work.Tried by a British military court he was sentenced to death for war crimes against his slave labour workers.His sentence was commuted to 20 years imprisonment and he was released in 1955.

Here are a few more to add to Rons list

Ohlen. Hans - (born 1910) Steinoel Co. - 10 yrs - Released 1950
Schiffelbein. Herbert - 2 yrs - Released 1949
Hamm. Jacob (born 1921) died before sentence Jan 1947

can only assume others were acquitted.
