An interesting paper and an interesting viewpoint. The author, however, missed the key to Allied prosecutions. The British, American and French courts did not prosecute German-on-German cases. They only prosecuted cases where "Allied nationals" were the victims. It could be argued, in the case of Italian Field Marshal Badoglio and Ethiopian victims, that Ethiopians were not "Allied nationals". Therefore did Italy have a case AND evidence for Badoglio to answer? Whether the British or Americans had an ulterior motive against a prosecution of Badoglio is not made clear.

Badoglio was an angel compared to Graziani.
Would like to compare the UNWCC list to the CROWCASS list.Latter was quite sparse concerning Italians.
