Erwin Ostertag

Sentenced to death by the British in May 1946
Handed to the French
Sentenced to death by the French in March 1947
Released in March 1950

Who released him, the French or the British?
Were both courts wrong to give the death penalty?

regards

Hi danyb

Heinrich Neuschwanger was handed over to the French for trial after being convicted by a British Military Court in May 1946.

As far as I know he was returned to the Brits and remained in Werl prison until 1955

Do you know his DOB?
