New Info on Ordadour-Sur-Glane forthcoming

Mike William's excellent Ordadour website will soon have a translation of Otto Kahn's statement which essentially says that the massacre was ordered through the divisional chain-of-command. This goes against the "conventional" wisdom that this atrocity was concocted by battalion commander Adolf Diekmann as a repraisal for the kidnapping/murder of Helmut Kämpfe. It possibly implicates Sylvester Stadler up this chain and, most likely, Heinz Lammerding as the ultimate architect, which makes sense based on his background at the highest levels in anti-partisan warfare in Russia.
