It was an old post and I have since updated info on Kurpanik. I now have him executed on 22.02.1946 but cannot remember source.

Max Ferdynand Kuehn source is "Ekstradycja przestepcow wojennych do polski z czterech stref okupacyjnych Niemiec, 1946-1950."
I do not have a copy to hand. Georg W would be able to confirm details.

I can confirm that according to the book "Ekstradycja przestępców wojennych do Polski z czterech stref okupacyjnych Niemiec, 1946-1950" by E. Kobierska-Motas, Max Ferdinand Kuehn, born 01/04/1909, extradited from US zone to Poland on 25/02/1947, was indeed sentenced by the court in Warsaw to death, later this sentence was changed by Supreme Court into 5 years. He was released on 08/07/1952.

Traitor and persecutor of Poles sentenced to life in prison

On December 6, the regional court in Kalisz sentenced to life in prison Otton Reschke, a Volksdeutsche, who had, before the war, pretended to be a great Polish patriot, as he had committed treason against the Polish nation as well as for his being an ardent enemy of Poles and his for assistance in deportation of Polish citizens.

At the Reschke`s trial, the Gestapo chief Henrich Nolte, who shall be tried in court for his crimes against the Polish nation, was called as a witness.

Well-deserved punishment meted out to German oppressor

On April 3, the regional court in Kalisz tried a former gendarme from Brzezinki Rudolf Roth. After testimony of several witnesses who said that during the compulsory resettlement of the Musielak family, the said gendarme murdered Jozef Musielak and then snatched a baby from Mrs. Musialak`s hands, threw it to the ground and kicked it with its boot which resulted in crippling the child. The perpetrator appealed his sentence to the Supreme Court of Poland but the President of the Republic of Poland did not grant clemency. On December 01, the oppressor was punished (executed).

On December 20, the regional court in Kalisz tried Henryk Wenke, a Volksdeutsche from the Kozminek region for his treason against the Polish nation, being a SA member as well as his assistance in compulsory resettlement and sending to concentration camps of Poles and acts of rape. Henryk Wenke was sentenced to life in prison. On the same day, Ryszard Reiman was tried and sentenced to one year in prison for signing the Volksdeutsche list.
