Was this article written by a ghost, Petarius, that there is no author mentioned? And why does he/she only state that the trial in Białystok was about 1950?
And doesn´t the text say that it is unknown if his step in into Germans service has anything to do with his ZWZ (Związek Walki Zbrojnej) activities during the Soviet occupation or if this doesn´t happen because of his own will and initiative!?
They also write that he was head of the prison until fall 1944 when panic came upon the Germans and that´s when he opend the prisons door to allow ten persons to flee.
I wouldn´t call this single action "fought for Polands interests", or do you mean when he fought the NKWD and UB in Poland from 1944 until 1947 (that´s when he got arrested) what they also mention?

Indeed an author wasnt mentioned and the only trial was about 1950 in Białystok . The expression " fought for Polands interest" is a sentence from judgement of Białystok Court that pledged him not guilty not an opinion of an author of this article . The rest is more or less as you translated that into english. I am still waiting for an access to IPN files and look forward to see this court sentence. The post we comment i found on my research and it was an request for " any " information so please forgive me so far i am not ready to give " all" :) Just wish me luck in research and i will be happy to answer all your questions

I have a Kriminalrat Dr.Payer, transferred in 09.1941 from Kripoleitstelle Wien to Kripoleitstelle Prag (SD-BBl 13.09.1941)
may be he was sentenced in czechoslowakia?
but the czech list of gestapo members shows him as Dr. Artur Payer at Prag...
