SIEGFRIED WOLFGANG FEHMER (10.01.1911-16.03.1948)
born in Munich, joined the NSDAP in 1930 and was a SS Hauptsturmführer and was the Gestapo leader in Oslo, Norway between April 1940 and February 1945.
Tried by a N o r w e g i a n military court at Oslo he was sentenced to death on 28th June 1947 for the torturing of
Norwegian patriots during interrogations. He was executed in Akershus Fortress, Oslo on 16th March 1948
KARL-HANS HERMAN KLINGE (1909-1946)
was a SS Oberscharführer and Kriminalassistent in the Oslo Gestapo. Tried by a Norwegian military court he was sentenced to death on 8th December 1945 and again at the Supreme court 27th February 1946. In March 1945 he beat a Norwegian civilian with a truncheon across his back then with his hands and feet bound, he was thrown into a ice cold bath and repeatedly ducked under. He collapsed and died the same day. He also tortured another 17 victims the same way at Gestapo headquaters in Oslo. He was executed in Akershus Fortress, Oslo on 28th March 1946.
OTTO WILHELM ALBERT SUHR (1902-1948)
By the German capitulation Otto Wilhelm Albert Suhr was German interpreter in Referat IV 1a by the Kommandeur der Sicherheitspolitzei und des Sicherheitsdienst (KdS), Oslo. Suhr came to Norway in 1927 and worked as a fitter in a Norwegian firm, until he in March 1943 was drafted by force as an intepreter to the Sipo in Oslo. He was tried by a Norwegian county court and was sentenced to death in 1947. The sentence was cancelled by the Supreme court due to legal errors and the case was re-opened in June 1947. Again sentenced to death for war crimes he was executed on 10th January 1948 in Akershus Fortress, Oslo.
AUGUST STUCKMANN (1910-1947)
was so-called SS-Sturmscharführer and Kriminalsekretâr, ADSt (Aussendienststelle) Dombås, Oppland
fylke (district). He was born 01.03.1910 in Lemgo and before the war he worked both in the "Landespolizei" and "Wehrmacht" . In April 1940 he was ordered to Norway, first he was in Kristiansand, from July 1940 till July 1941 he was by the Gestapo in Oslo and after that he was by the Sicherheitspolizei (Sipo) in Lillehammer, Oppland district. Stuckmann was sentenced to death, for murder, for participation in murder and serious torture, and he was executed 28th March
FRANZ DIRRANK (1900-)
was born in Austria and served in the KDS in Oslo as a translator. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for war crimes. His sentence was commuted to life imprisonment and he was released in January 1954.
JOSEF SEUFERT (1909-)
was a SSSturmscharführer during the occupation of Norway had served in the KDS in Oslo and Bergen. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for war crimes. His sentence was commuted to life imprisonment and he was released in december 1952.
RICHARD WILHELM HERMANN BRUNS (28.06.1900 -20.09.1947)
Born in Hannover, was a SS Untersturmführer and kriminalsekretar was in the Oslo Gestapo between 1942-45. He was tried by a Norwegian court between 20th March-3rd July 1946 and was sentenced to death by shooting. He was convicted of the torture of 11 N o r w e g i a n civilians. He beat the victims using various instruments hitting them in the face and body and also dunking them in ice cold baths. Bruns also killed two
men by shooting them but was cleared on the grounds of acting within his rights. He was executed on 20th
September 1947 in Akershus Fortress Oslo.
RUDOLF THEODOR ALBERT SCHUBERT (1908-1947)
was a SS Hauptsturmführer and kriminalassistent in the Oslo Gestapo between 1942-45.He was tried by a Norwegian court between 20th March-3rd July 1946 and was sentenced to death by shooting. He was convicted of torturing 14 Norwegians by beating them with various instruments in the face and body. Schubert also killed one man by shooting, but was cleared on the grounds of acting within his rights. He was executed on 20th September 1947 in Akershus Fortress Oslo
EMIL CLEMENS (1908-1947)
was a SS Sturmscharführer and kriminaloberassistent in the Oslo Gestapo between 1943-45. Tried by a
Norwegian court between 20th March- 3rd July 1946 he was sentenced to death by shooting. He was convicted of torturing 23 Norwegians using various instruments and cold baths. Clemens also killed one prisoner, but the court found Clemens had not exceeded his right to shoot an escaping prisoner. He commited suicide in prison on 19th September 1947, the night before he was to be executed.
OSCAR HANS (1910-)
was a SS Hauptsturmführer joined the SS in 1933 and the SD in 1935. In 1940 Hans was a member of the SD in Oslo and then in charge of an execution squad. tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death on 23rd August 1947 for the execution of 312 Norwegians. His sentence was commuted and he was handed over to the
british. Tried by a British military court in Hamburg he was sentenced to death on 25th August 1948 for more war crimes. His sentence was commuted to imprisonment and he was released on 23rd April 1954.
GERHARD FRIEDRICH FLESCH(08.10.1909 – 28.02.1948)
Born in Posen, was a SS Obersturmbannführer und major der Polizei joined the NSDAP in 1933 and the SS in 1934. He was KDS kommandeur der Sipo und des SD from April 1940 till May 1945, first in Bergen, then in Trondheim. Tried by a Norwegian military court after the war he was sentenced to death in 1946 for ordering the murders of 37 people. He lost his appeal in the Norwegian Supreme Court and he was executed by firing squad on 28th February 1948 in Kristiansten, Trondheim.
JULIUS HANS CHRISTIAN NIELSON (1898-1948)
was a SS Obersturmführer served in the Gestapo in Trondheim. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to
death for the arrest and ill treatment of N o r w e g i a n patriots. He was executed on 10th July 1948 in Trondheim.
HERMANN DRAGASS (1891-1948)
served in the KDS in Trondheim as a translator. He was born in Germany, but had migrated to Norway in 1914, and was a Norwegian Citizen. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for ill treatment of prisoners and war crimes and he was executed on 10th July 1948 in Trondheim.
WILHELM ARTUR KONSTANTIN WAGNER (1909-) was a SS Hauptsturmführer was head of section IV b in Norway during the war. Triedby a Norwegian military court in October 1946 he was sentenced to death for the deportation of 321 jews and also the ill treatment of jews. On 30th April 1947 his death sentence was commuted to 20 year imprisonment
and he was released in December 1951.
RUDOLF KERNER (1910-)
born 21.02.1910 in Saarbrücken, was a SS Hauptsturmführer and kriminalkommisar was Gestapo chief of K r i s t i a n s a n d , southern Norway during 1940-42. Tried by a N o r w e g i a n Kristiansand court he was sentenced to death on 16th June 1947 after being
convicted of being responsible for the death and torture of Norwegian patriots. His sentence was commuted in
1948 to life imprisonment and he was released in October 1953.
ERNST WEIMANN (1906-)
was a SS Obersturmbannführer und oberstleutnant der polizei was the head of the KDS kommandeur der Sipo und des
SD Bergen April 1944-May 1945. Before Norway he was head of the K l a g e n f u r t Gestapo 1940-43, and in Trieste 1943- 44. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death on 13th September
1946 for war crimes. His sentence was reduced to life imprisonment on 30th august 1947 and he was released in
October 1953.
WILLI AUGUST KESTING (28.01.1908 -08.08.1946)
Born in Dortmund, was a SS Sturmscharführer and kriminalsekretar served in the Bergen Gestapo in Norway from 1941, as leader of section 4 E from October 1944 till May 1945. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for the arrest and abuse/torture of Norwegian patriots. He was executed on 8th august 1946 in Bergen.
LUDWIG RUNZHEIMER (28.07.1912 -04.07.1946)
born in Gladenbach, was a SS Oberscharführer served in the Frankfurt Gestapo and the Bergen Gestapo in Norway. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for the arrest and ill treatment of Norwegian patriots. He was executed on 4th July 1946 in Bergen.
JOHANN ARNDT (1911-)
was a SS Hauptscharführer served in the Bochum Gestapo and the Bergen Gestapo in Norway. Tried by a
Norwegian court he was sentenced to death on 13th September 1946 for the arrest and ill treatment of Norwegian patriots. His sentence was reduced to life imprisonment and he was released in October 1953
NILS PETER BERNHARD HJELMBERG (1923-1946)
born in Copenhagen. He came to Norway in October 1942 to work for Sipo in Bergen. In January 1944 he was
transferred to Gestapo, referat IV E to be a translator. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for war crimes in
Gulating lagmannsrett 18th March 1946. The Supreme Court changed the sentence to death 4th July 1946, and he was executed at Sverresborg in Bergen 8th August 1946.
MAX EMIL GUSTAV ROOK (24.06.1888-04.06.1946)
born in Berlin but from 1928 a citizen of Norway.During the occupation he served
in the KDS in Bergen. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for participating in arresting
Norwegian patriots. He was executed on 4th June 1946 in Sverresborg Fortress, Bergen.
ALFRED JOSEF GÃRTNER (1923-1946)
Gärtners father was German, but he was a citizen of Norway. During the occupation he served in the KDS in Bergen. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for participating in arresting Norwegian patriots. He was executed on 8th August 1946 in Bergen.
ERICH HOFFMANN (23.04.1900-15.05.1946)
was fahrdienstleiter in Bergen and a former member of the German SD in occupied Norway. Tried by a joint Norwegian/British court in Oslo between 10th-13th December 1945 he was found guilty of being concerned in the murder of allied prisoners of war. He was sentenced to death and hanged in Hamelin prison on 15th May 1946.
WERNER SEELING (1908-1946)
was a Luftwaffe doctor and had served in occupied Norway. Tried by a joint Norwegian/British court in Oslo
between 10th-13th December 1945 he was found guilty of being concerned in the murder of allied prisoners of war in Bergen. He was sentenced to death and shot in Akershus Fortress Oslo on 10th January 1946.
HANS WILHELM BLOMBERG (1906-1946)
was a SS Obersturmbannführer und Oberstleutnant der Polizei. He was head of the KDS in Tromsø (5.40-10.41), later Bergen (10.41-4.44) and STAPO Hamburg. Tried by a joint Norwegian/British court in Oslo between 10th-13th December 1945 he was found guilty of being concerned in the murder of allied prisoners of war in Bergen. He was sentenced to death and shot in Akershus Fortress Oslo on 10th January 1946.
PAUL HEINRICH GLOMB (1905-)
born 08.06.1905 in Sodow,was a SS hauptscharführer served in the Sipo and the SD in Trondheim district, Norway during the occupation. Tried by a Norwegian Kristiansand court he was sentenced to death on 16th June 1947 after being convicted of being responsible for the death and torture of Norwegian patriots. His sentence was commuted in 1948 to 20 years and he was released in 1950.
HUGO FRIEDRICH WILHELM HEINRICHS (1913-)
was a SS Oberscharführer served in Halden then in the Gestapo at Fredrikstad. He was
tried by a Norwegian court in Sarpsborg and was sentenced to death on 15th May 1947 for war crimes. His
sentence was commuted to life imprisonment and he was released in October 1953.
EMIL HUGO FRIEDRICH KOEBER (29.07.1907 -22.03.1947)
born in Oberhausen ,served as a Hauptwachmeister in the police during the war. He arrived in Norway in 1943 and served as a guard at the Vollan camp in Trondheim. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to
death. On 12th March 1947 in Oslo. His appeal was rejected and he was executed by firing squad 22nd March
1947 in Kristiansten, Trondheim.
FRIEDRICH WILHELM MEYER (1915-)
born 31.03.1915 in Osnabrück ,was a SS Oberscharführer was a Gestapo official who served in Kristiansand southern norway during
the occupation. Tried by a Norwegian Kristiansand court he was sentenced to death on 16th June 1947 after being convicted of being responsible for the death and torture of Norwegian patriots.his sentence was commuted in 1948 to life imprisonment and he was released in july 1952.
Heinrich Wilhelm Oscar Willführ sentenced to 10 (ten) years of forced labor.
Franz Simon Gromann sentenced to 6 (six) years of forced labor
born in Munich, joined the NSDAP in 1930 and was a SS Hauptsturmführer and was the Gestapo leader in Oslo, Norway between April 1940 and February 1945.
Tried by a N o r w e g i a n military court at Oslo he was sentenced to death on 28th June 1947 for the torturing of
Norwegian patriots during interrogations. He was executed in Akershus Fortress, Oslo on 16th March 1948
KARL-HANS HERMAN KLINGE (1909-1946)
was a SS Oberscharführer and Kriminalassistent in the Oslo Gestapo. Tried by a Norwegian military court he was sentenced to death on 8th December 1945 and again at the Supreme court 27th February 1946. In March 1945 he beat a Norwegian civilian with a truncheon across his back then with his hands and feet bound, he was thrown into a ice cold bath and repeatedly ducked under. He collapsed and died the same day. He also tortured another 17 victims the same way at Gestapo headquaters in Oslo. He was executed in Akershus Fortress, Oslo on 28th March 1946.
OTTO WILHELM ALBERT SUHR (1902-1948)
By the German capitulation Otto Wilhelm Albert Suhr was German interpreter in Referat IV 1a by the Kommandeur der Sicherheitspolitzei und des Sicherheitsdienst (KdS), Oslo. Suhr came to Norway in 1927 and worked as a fitter in a Norwegian firm, until he in March 1943 was drafted by force as an intepreter to the Sipo in Oslo. He was tried by a Norwegian county court and was sentenced to death in 1947. The sentence was cancelled by the Supreme court due to legal errors and the case was re-opened in June 1947. Again sentenced to death for war crimes he was executed on 10th January 1948 in Akershus Fortress, Oslo.
AUGUST STUCKMANN (1910-1947)
was so-called SS-Sturmscharführer and Kriminalsekretâr, ADSt (Aussendienststelle) Dombås, Oppland
fylke (district). He was born 01.03.1910 in Lemgo and before the war he worked both in the "Landespolizei" and "Wehrmacht" . In April 1940 he was ordered to Norway, first he was in Kristiansand, from July 1940 till July 1941 he was by the Gestapo in Oslo and after that he was by the Sicherheitspolizei (Sipo) in Lillehammer, Oppland district. Stuckmann was sentenced to death, for murder, for participation in murder and serious torture, and he was executed 28th March
FRANZ DIRRANK (1900-)
was born in Austria and served in the KDS in Oslo as a translator. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for war crimes. His sentence was commuted to life imprisonment and he was released in January 1954.
JOSEF SEUFERT (1909-)
was a SSSturmscharführer during the occupation of Norway had served in the KDS in Oslo and Bergen. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for war crimes. His sentence was commuted to life imprisonment and he was released in december 1952.
RICHARD WILHELM HERMANN BRUNS (28.06.1900 -20.09.1947)
Born in Hannover, was a SS Untersturmführer and kriminalsekretar was in the Oslo Gestapo between 1942-45. He was tried by a Norwegian court between 20th March-3rd July 1946 and was sentenced to death by shooting. He was convicted of the torture of 11 N o r w e g i a n civilians. He beat the victims using various instruments hitting them in the face and body and also dunking them in ice cold baths. Bruns also killed two
men by shooting them but was cleared on the grounds of acting within his rights. He was executed on 20th
September 1947 in Akershus Fortress Oslo.
RUDOLF THEODOR ALBERT SCHUBERT (1908-1947)
was a SS Hauptsturmführer and kriminalassistent in the Oslo Gestapo between 1942-45.He was tried by a Norwegian court between 20th March-3rd July 1946 and was sentenced to death by shooting. He was convicted of torturing 14 Norwegians by beating them with various instruments in the face and body. Schubert also killed one man by shooting, but was cleared on the grounds of acting within his rights. He was executed on 20th September 1947 in Akershus Fortress Oslo
EMIL CLEMENS (1908-1947)
was a SS Sturmscharführer and kriminaloberassistent in the Oslo Gestapo between 1943-45. Tried by a
Norwegian court between 20th March- 3rd July 1946 he was sentenced to death by shooting. He was convicted of torturing 23 Norwegians using various instruments and cold baths. Clemens also killed one prisoner, but the court found Clemens had not exceeded his right to shoot an escaping prisoner. He commited suicide in prison on 19th September 1947, the night before he was to be executed.
OSCAR HANS (1910-)
was a SS Hauptsturmführer joined the SS in 1933 and the SD in 1935. In 1940 Hans was a member of the SD in Oslo and then in charge of an execution squad. tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death on 23rd August 1947 for the execution of 312 Norwegians. His sentence was commuted and he was handed over to the
british. Tried by a British military court in Hamburg he was sentenced to death on 25th August 1948 for more war crimes. His sentence was commuted to imprisonment and he was released on 23rd April 1954.
GERHARD FRIEDRICH FLESCH(08.10.1909 – 28.02.1948)
Born in Posen, was a SS Obersturmbannführer und major der Polizei joined the NSDAP in 1933 and the SS in 1934. He was KDS kommandeur der Sipo und des SD from April 1940 till May 1945, first in Bergen, then in Trondheim. Tried by a Norwegian military court after the war he was sentenced to death in 1946 for ordering the murders of 37 people. He lost his appeal in the Norwegian Supreme Court and he was executed by firing squad on 28th February 1948 in Kristiansten, Trondheim.
JULIUS HANS CHRISTIAN NIELSON (1898-1948)
was a SS Obersturmführer served in the Gestapo in Trondheim. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to
death for the arrest and ill treatment of N o r w e g i a n patriots. He was executed on 10th July 1948 in Trondheim.
HERMANN DRAGASS (1891-1948)
served in the KDS in Trondheim as a translator. He was born in Germany, but had migrated to Norway in 1914, and was a Norwegian Citizen. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for ill treatment of prisoners and war crimes and he was executed on 10th July 1948 in Trondheim.
WILHELM ARTUR KONSTANTIN WAGNER (1909-) was a SS Hauptsturmführer was head of section IV b in Norway during the war. Triedby a Norwegian military court in October 1946 he was sentenced to death for the deportation of 321 jews and also the ill treatment of jews. On 30th April 1947 his death sentence was commuted to 20 year imprisonment
and he was released in December 1951.

convicted of being responsible for the death and torture of Norwegian patriots. His sentence was commuted in
1948 to life imprisonment and he was released in October 1953.

Born in Dortmund, was a SS Sturmscharführer and kriminalsekretar served in the Bergen Gestapo in Norway from 1941, as leader of section 4 E from October 1944 till May 1945. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for the arrest and abuse/torture of Norwegian patriots. He was executed on 8th august 1946 in Bergen.
LUDWIG RUNZHEIMER (28.07.1912 -04.07.1946)
born in Gladenbach, was a SS Oberscharführer served in the Frankfurt Gestapo and the Bergen Gestapo in Norway. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for the arrest and ill treatment of Norwegian patriots. He was executed on 4th July 1946 in Bergen.
JOHANN ARNDT (1911-)
was a SS Hauptscharführer served in the Bochum Gestapo and the Bergen Gestapo in Norway. Tried by a
Norwegian court he was sentenced to death on 13th September 1946 for the arrest and ill treatment of Norwegian patriots. His sentence was reduced to life imprisonment and he was released in October 1953
NILS PETER BERNHARD HJELMBERG (1923-1946)
born in Copenhagen. He came to Norway in October 1942 to work for Sipo in Bergen. In January 1944 he was
transferred to Gestapo, referat IV E to be a translator. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for war crimes in
Gulating lagmannsrett 18th March 1946. The Supreme Court changed the sentence to death 4th July 1946, and he was executed at Sverresborg in Bergen 8th August 1946.
MAX EMIL GUSTAV ROOK (24.06.1888-04.06.1946)
born in Berlin but from 1928 a citizen of Norway.During the occupation he served
in the KDS in Bergen. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for participating in arresting
Norwegian patriots. He was executed on 4th June 1946 in Sverresborg Fortress, Bergen.
ALFRED JOSEF GÃRTNER (1923-1946)
Gärtners father was German, but he was a citizen of Norway. During the occupation he served in the KDS in Bergen. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to death for participating in arresting Norwegian patriots. He was executed on 8th August 1946 in Bergen.
ERICH HOFFMANN (23.04.1900-15.05.1946)
was fahrdienstleiter in Bergen and a former member of the German SD in occupied Norway. Tried by a joint Norwegian/British court in Oslo between 10th-13th December 1945 he was found guilty of being concerned in the murder of allied prisoners of war. He was sentenced to death and hanged in Hamelin prison on 15th May 1946.
WERNER SEELING (1908-1946)
was a Luftwaffe doctor and had served in occupied Norway. Tried by a joint Norwegian/British court in Oslo
between 10th-13th December 1945 he was found guilty of being concerned in the murder of allied prisoners of war in Bergen. He was sentenced to death and shot in Akershus Fortress Oslo on 10th January 1946.
HANS WILHELM BLOMBERG (1906-1946)
was a SS Obersturmbannführer und Oberstleutnant der Polizei. He was head of the KDS in Tromsø (5.40-10.41), later Bergen (10.41-4.44) and STAPO Hamburg. Tried by a joint Norwegian/British court in Oslo between 10th-13th December 1945 he was found guilty of being concerned in the murder of allied prisoners of war in Bergen. He was sentenced to death and shot in Akershus Fortress Oslo on 10th January 1946.
PAUL HEINRICH GLOMB (1905-)
born 08.06.1905 in Sodow,was a SS hauptscharführer served in the Sipo and the SD in Trondheim district, Norway during the occupation. Tried by a Norwegian Kristiansand court he was sentenced to death on 16th June 1947 after being convicted of being responsible for the death and torture of Norwegian patriots. His sentence was commuted in 1948 to 20 years and he was released in 1950.
HUGO FRIEDRICH WILHELM HEINRICHS (1913-)
was a SS Oberscharführer served in Halden then in the Gestapo at Fredrikstad. He was
tried by a Norwegian court in Sarpsborg and was sentenced to death on 15th May 1947 for war crimes. His
sentence was commuted to life imprisonment and he was released in October 1953.
EMIL HUGO FRIEDRICH KOEBER (29.07.1907 -22.03.1947)
born in Oberhausen ,served as a Hauptwachmeister in the police during the war. He arrived in Norway in 1943 and served as a guard at the Vollan camp in Trondheim. Tried by a Norwegian court he was sentenced to
death. On 12th March 1947 in Oslo. His appeal was rejected and he was executed by firing squad 22nd March
1947 in Kristiansten, Trondheim.
FRIEDRICH WILHELM MEYER (1915-)
born 31.03.1915 in Osnabrück ,was a SS Oberscharführer was a Gestapo official who served in Kristiansand southern norway during
the occupation. Tried by a Norwegian Kristiansand court he was sentenced to death on 16th June 1947 after being convicted of being responsible for the death and torture of Norwegian patriots.his sentence was commuted in 1948 to life imprisonment and he was released in july 1952.
