Trial 31.03.1947 in Oslo

Ludwig Zirk (10.05.1909 in Stockheim/Main, SS-Hauptscharführer, Kriminaloberassistent)
sentenced to life imprisonment

Théophil Siegfried Schädlich (10.03.1910 in Rodwesch, SS-Oberscharführer, Kriminalassistent)
sentenced to life imprisonment (released 1953)

Alois Gamauf (11.02.1912 in Kufstein, SS-Oberscharführer, Kriminalassistent)
sentenced to life imprisonment

I am not sure about the date of the trial of:

Walter Drach (08.12.1915 in Selm, SS-Unterscharführer, Kriminalassistent)
sentenced to 7 years hard labour (released Feb. 1950)

Otto Erich Schilling (09.07.1912 in Jerichow, SS-Obersturmführer)
sentenced to 20 years imprisonment (released 14.11.1952)

Maybe they were sentenced all together

2 Nov 1953, a party of four former Sipo/SD officials arrived in Kiel having been released from imprisonment in Norway. They were KA Friedrich Heinrichs, SS-Ostuf Johann Arndt, SS-Hstuf Rudolf Kerner and Dr Erwin Weinmann (sic - Weimann)(the former KdS Prag and later in Norway).

Is this probably the same as Otto Schilling from Stapo Würzburg (in 11.1941 dealing with deportations) ?

These officers are WVHA including the more well-known figure of Hermann Dolp. According to Dolp's SSO:
15 May 1942, Kdt HSSPF Nord in Norway: “Strassenbau- und Stellungsbauführer"

Georg Eberl
29 Nov-4 Dec 1945 tried with others before a British Military Court in Oslo.
Convicted of complicity in the killing of one British and 6 Norwegian POWs captured on MTB 345.
July 1943 the victims were shot, according to the trial papers, at "Ulven Lager near Bergen"; but I think this is Polizeihäftlingslager Espeland.
He was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment as you say.

Wolfgang Blell

My grandfather was a prison guard in Oslo in 1945 and wrote about his experience in a memoirs in his later years.
He did recall about Hauptmann Wolfgang Blell:

According to my grandfather, who did the most of the paperwork on him, was 52 years old in 1945.

He had been on the Leningrad front, later transferred to Northern Norway. Got the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd class for bravery.

Had a wife and two daughters in their teens. Worked as a merchant.

Blell was sentenced to death 11th july 1945 because he killed one Russian prisoner, Victor Wladimirowitch Grusjef, who had infiltrated a German garrison to steal some booze in Lillehammer one month earlier. He testified that he was attacked by the drunk Russian and killed him in self defense.

He was transferred to a prison in Oslo the day after.

The evening before his execution in 22. july he was allowed to write one last letter to his wife and the priest gave him the last rites.
Really devastated, he asked my grandfather if he could retrieve the wedding ring and a photo of his wife and daughters which he could have with him during the execution. My grandfather accepted and gave it to him.

But only few hours before the execution he got commuted to life imprisonment. Blell fainted and my grandfather and one other guard had to drag him back to his cell. Blell was overjoyed.

Grandfather had some sympathy to Wolfgang Blell. He seemed like a nice gentleman. He did believe on his testimony and was glad that his life was spared. "He was not a SS or Gestapo, only a soldier" my grandfather said.

What happened to Blell after I'm not sure. But I have read that he was released in 1947.
