On the oft quoted rape estimates by Johr and Reichling there is a solid piece by Igor Petrov that to my mind shows their unreliability.
Unfortunately it's in Russian, but one can use Google Translate.

Although much is written about the raping of German women, less is known about what happened in other 'liberated' countries, such as the Baltic states, Hungary and Rumania. I can't imagine the situation there could have been any different. What happened in those countries?
