She and her mother Katarzyna were one of the 110 thousand Polish people expelled from the Zamość region to make room for a German colony.
Both were transported to Auschwitz on December 13, 1942. Katarzyna was murdered on February 18, 1943. Czeslawa on March 12, 1943.

Czech (Kalendarz wydarzen w KL Auschwitz) doesn´t note this date killings, nor does PMAB state that this was the reason of her dead.

It is one of those photographs that I want to look away from.

Don´t know if she would appreciate it. I´m not the person who judge about.
IMHO it´s better to remember those poor kids and trying to prevent the mankind of false ideas.

So sad that you´re correct. Looking in the book "Nie wolno o nich zapomniec" may even lead to severe traumata by unstable persons I guess. So many innocents childs in there...

The list of people from her village - Wólka Złojecka murdered in KL Auchwitz says that nine was simply murdered and three was murdered by phenol injection: Gil Witold, Kwoka Czesława, Rycaj Mieczysław.
The claim is repeated on a few Polish web pages but no primary source given so maybe it would be safer to say for now that the cause of death is undetermined.

Perhaps the Auschwitz record 14902/1943 has the information.

Thank´s Henryk, not the date of her death was in question but the cause.
The file 14902/1943 is her death certificate (akt zgonu) which claims the she died on Cachexia during Gastroenteritis.

According to this page her father died before the WWII. She lived with her mother alone in a small house.
Her cousins still live in Wólka Złojecka.
There was another similar case in her village, a woman and her eleven years old son was sent to the KL Auschwitz. Both died there, the child was murdered during medical experiments involving phenol.
It was the already mentioned Rycaj Mieczysław.

Your suggestion doesn´t provide any result for Paweł Kwoka. Obviously he isn´t covered at the IPN -website because he´s not a victim of WWII.
