The question of whether Streicher really was tortured is quite irrelevant to the main issue, which is why he was put on trial together with the main political and military leaders of Germany, when the only position he had held was that of Gauleiter, from which he was dismissed in 1940 due to his corruption and abuse of office.
There is also the issue of why he was convicted of Crimes against Humanity, having not been in a position of authority to commit such crimes, since at the time the crimes were being committed he was a private citizen with no power or influence.
