Re: Trial Poltawa 23.11.1947 – 01.12.1947
Trial Poltawa 23.11.1947 – 01.12.1947 22 defendants (21 sentenced to 25 years hard labour, 1 sentenced to 20 years hard labour)
1.) Generalleutnant Werner Schartow (05.02.1890 in Argenau) released 1955, died 25.06.1977 in Berlin
2.) SS-Brigadeführer Helmut Becker (12.08.1902 in Alt Ruppin) (executed 18.02.1953 in Swerdlowsk for sabotage)
3.) Ludwig Schwermann (30.12.1915 in Sendenhorst) (executed 18.02.1953 in Swerdlowsk for sabotage)
4.) SS-Sturmbannführer Dr. Martin Weidlich (12.03.1911 in Wuitz/Zeitz)
5.) SS-Hauptsturmführer Max Kühn
6.) Willi Schubert
7.) Oskar Peichard or Reichard
8.) R. Hundt (only defendant sentenced to 20 years hard labour)
9.) K. Hoffman
10.) I. Weiss
I am not sure that the following names are correct:
V. Shargov, F. Shalger, A. Zinger, R. Massmann, V. Mickarg, , R. Zut, A. Gaish, K. Tade, G. Ganzer, C. Glyn, O. Enzen, V. Cannes, V. Choke.
I think they are wrong due to translation mistakes.
What are the details (full name, rank, place of birth, date of birth, date of death...) of the defendants. I think due to the translation the names of the defendants can be different.
Maybe Russian members can help. Unfortunately I cannot read Russian/Cyrillic sources.
