Post by Sergey Romanov » 24 Mar 2019 13:45

I would be grateful if anyone can provide images of the entries from the 14th to the 16th March.

Sergey

I do not have a copy of his Taschenkalender - this come from his 1940 Tischkalender and covers the dates you wanted

1. I have a disc with all the 1940 entries.
2. Like you I find Himmler's handwriting difficult to understand. Seems he began in Berlin went to X then Posen and Bromberg. Best I can do.

Our German colleagues need to help us out!

Pretty sure the additional line refers to his wife (whom he called "Mami"). "Mami n[ach] Posen. Bromberg". Her diary published by Matthäus confirms that at some point between the 7th and 23rd March she went specifically to Posen and then to Bromberg to visit someone (she was born near Bromberg).

Heini arrived in Berlin on the 14th and I take it he didn't leave it until at least the 16th.

In the third line I read:

Mittags Gen.Oberst Milch
If we become increasingly humble about how little we know, we may be more eager to search.

So the other word is probably Büro - written twice for 15th and 16th.
