Sonderkommando 10a in Rostov on Don 1941

Hi guys,

I am currently researching the first battle of Rostov, November 1941, and I understand that Sonderkommando 10a was there at the time.

I know there are documents where these groups gave accounts of their actions (as seen on Invenio at the Bundesarchiv). I was wondering if anyone knows which NARA roll this particular account may be on?

Thanks for any help

Cheers
Steve

Some of Sonderkommando 10a made its way into Rostov on Don in November 1941. The battle and street fighting continued and when the Kommando came under fire they retreated to Taganrog. They overwintered in Taganrog.
Disclosed by SK 10a men when questioned by West German police in the 1960s and 1970s.
Files available in Bundesarchiv Ludwigsburg; I do not believe this episode is mentioned by Waffen-SS or Army units who were involved in the military campaign in Rostov.

Hi, thanks very much for this info, as I managed to find the NARA Roll (T-175 Roll 234) which covers the daily reports for late 1941 in the Ukraine. Unfortunately although a lot of Einsatzgruppe D is covered, it is mainly its dealings with Partisans in Crimea, rather than anything about Rostov. Wintering over with LAH in Taganrog opens some questions of involvement as well. Thanks again!
