Looking at Wikipedia:

Looks like the badge for a "relapsed" prisoner (Rückfällige).
No idea which KZ issued such badges but probably one in Germany rather than Poland.

Re: Unknown Insignia
Sure not, Steve.
This thing has nothing to do with a concentration camp inmate.
I never read/heared that such would wear a metal plate on his clothes.

Re: Unknown Insignia
Hi Steve, History1.
I found this also, triangle and stripe for rückfallige inmate.
But as you say, something made me think they would not use a metal insignia..
Maybe for a forced laborour or something like that?

Re: Unknown Insignia
I was thinking of the scenario where shirts and jackets etc were removed - say an outside building party - and the guards still needed you identifiable.

it´s not a triangle and a stripe but a pentagon on its head and a stripe.
And it seems to be relatively big. One needs only to sharpen the edges and has a nice weapon easy to hide on the hand.
Re: Unknown Insignia
That´s why concentration camp inmates had also number and prisoner sympols on their trousers:
