There were two trails that touch the subject:

Hostages Trial that only concerned the Balkans.
Einsatzgruppen trial that claimed only 500 000 exterminated Slavs.

On the basis of existing reports it can be claimed that at least the mentioned 500 000 and no more than 1 - 2 millions were exterminated directly. However the data is incomplete, it probably does not count hostages executed and people killed en masse in encircling operations.

Since 1 710 cities and 70 000 villages were destroyed the number of exterminated directly must be 5 -7 millions.
50 000 Germans were killed by partisans and 100 hostages were executed for each German 5 millions were killed.
Demographical data show 5 - 7 millions were killed.

4 millions died due to hunger
2-3 millions perished in German camps.

Overall, 11 - 14 millions non-Jews were exterminated. That's 2 times more than the Jews.

Concluding, either the American judges were ignorant or they wished to hide the Soviet sacrifice and deprive the Soviet people of their moral power at the start of the Cold War the US planned.

Most of those deaths were not due to direct killing, so, for example, what does the Einsatzgruppen trial have to do with it?
