Yugoslav War Crimes Trials of German Officials
Re: Yugoslav War Crimes Trials of German Officials
Duscha born Graudenz; probably not Gestapo chief, believed to have been Verbindungsmann with Slovene police.
Re: Yugoslav War Crimes Trials of German Officials
Friedrich Rainer and Otto Lurker were extradited from the US zone and von Bothmer, Fleckner, Neubert, Vogt, Glaser, Hradetzky, Fiebig, Farnleitner and Duscha from the British zone.

Re: Yugoslav War Crimes Trials of German Officials
Paul Duscha was in that time indeed a liason officer between the Gestapo and the slovenian Home Guard police. Certainly wasn't been a chief of Gestapo in Ljubljana.
According to this archive document* (Spisek obsojenih oseb nad katerimi je bila izvršena smrtna kazen v času 1945 do 31.12.1952 - List of convicted persons subject to the death penalty in the period since 1945 to December 31 1952) name of the Paul Duscha is mention on page 4, by current number 33, as a liaison officer Si Po (Sicherheitspolizei or security police).
Translation:
33./ Duscha Paul, son of Friderik, born 30. 4. 1910. in Gradenz**, Germany, sales assistant, citizen of Germany, convicted of Military court in Ljubljana, judgment 16 / 49 - 62 since 20. 3. 1949, because it is like a German occupation liason officer Si Po committed a whole host of crimes against the slovenian nation, to death by hanging. The sentence was enforced 20. 4. 1949. in Ljubljana.

Re: Yugoslav War Crimes Trials of German Officials
You’re welcome!
Yes, the name of Helmut Glaser is on this list, page 6, by current number 46
G l a s e r dr. Helmut, son of Josef, born 29. 7. 1910 in Gműnd, in German security service SD, Austrian, convicted of Military court in Ljubljana, judgment I 34/47 since 17. 7. 1947, as the occupier's war criminal and chief of the relocation office on Gorenjska, to death by shooting. The sentence was enforced 18. 8. 1947.
On the far right is the abbreviation A. A., meaning Austrian, Austria. When it comes to a German nationality, this is N. N. - in Slovene, he is German (Nemec) and Germany (Nemčija).
As you can see the place of execution is not specified, but it is very likely the place was at the Ljubljana City shooting range where this prisoners were usually shot in that time. Sometimes on the Ljubljana courthouse yard, but this was not so common. On the list is more than 200 names, only a few are without a place of execution. I really don't know the reason, i can't see some specific pattern, probably is just a bureaucratic mistake.
Re: Yugoslav War Crimes Trials of German Officials
Emil Vogel was SS-Oschaf not SS-Oberf. (they missed out the "schar" in his rank

You got to be a polyglot these days - could the Slovene archives not have added a translation service for German or English.
Only this morning I downloaded a pdf in French - and my schoolboy French is ancient.
But Slovene (or is Serbo-Croat?) - no.
