given the level of technolgy and Time Auschwitz the camp could have been bombed then the one time it was bombed....yet it would have made little difference....the Germans had concentration; slave labor and extermination camps from the Pyrness to the Urals from Norway to North Africa....

Ironically the Verba-Wetler Report saved more Jewish Lives that any Bombing could have:

Several topics raised by the original post have been debated at some lenth already on this fourm.

Faced with an impeding war against Germany and potentially Italy, the British halted Jewish immigration in Summer 1939 for the duration of the war. This defused tension within Palestine and neighbouring arab countries. The Jewish population of Palestine had grown massively during the 1920s. This was was the underlying reason for the Arab revolt 1936-1939. The Arab revolt was suppressed with very high Palestinian casualites - estimates are from 3000 dead upwards, with British and Jewish fatalities in the low hundreds. This is the context for the long running thread about the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem

The British forces included two British divisions - one commanded by Bernard Montgomery the other by Richard O'Connor. These were redeployed durign the war, with HQ 7th Infantry Division providing the staff and communications for the Western Desert Force and then 13th Corps.

Had the British allowed unlimited Jewish immigration during the War there was a possiblity that middle eastern response to German overtures would have been warmer. Mass immigration might have triggered a further revolt that could have cost the British and their allies theirposiiton in the Middle east.

The bombing of Auschwitz wasn't possible for the simple reason that it was more or less a week before some (random) Jews (haphazardly) intervened in Washington (despite the fact they had had the information for months) and the end of the deportations of the Hungarian Jews.
In a week nothing could have been done.

Additionally, the operation required detailed intelligence (needed to demonstrate that the bombing was possible and could have been successful) the Jews didn't have and didn't even care to acquire - as their leadership was fully preoccupied with the conquest of Palestine ("one cow in Palestine is worth more than all the Jews in Poland").

The proper way to do it was to ask the Polish Air Forces - the Poles were flying low-level bomber missions over Poland at that time and had the required expertise and knowledge to bomb Auschwitz.
And not at the last moment but months earlier.
