Tim Crook, International Radio Journalism, Routledge, 2002, p. 200, quotes the following words:
"I was instructed by the leaders of our underground to tell the British and American military authorities that only through direct reprisals, such as mass bombing of German cities, after dropping millions of leaflets telling the Germans that they were being bombed in reprisal for exterminating Jews, could this mass extermination be stopped or at least limited."

Tim Crook gives two references: Karski 1947:182 and Levin, N. 1975:696.
No problem with Nora Levin's book, The Holocaust: The Destruction of European Jewry, 1933-1945, New York, Schocken Books, 1975, since the complete reference is given by Tim Crook. But Tim Crook seems to have forgotten to explain the reference "Karski 1947:182". This is probably not an edition of Karski's book Story of a Secret State (first published in 1944), because the passage should be in one of chapters 28 and following and I have verified that it is not. In Story of a Secret State, Karski does not talk about demands for reprisals made by the Polish underground, he only puts such demands into the mouths of two Jewish leaders (and his story goes on to explain that this is not than threats of reprisals).
So I take the liberty of asking if any of you know what the reference "Karski 1947:182" means. (The explanation could perhaps be found in the quoted passage of Nora Levin's book. If I don't get a response here, I'll buy Nora Levin's book from an Internet site.)
Thanks in advance.

Re: Karski and reprisals
If it means that in 1947 Karski wrote a 182+ pages book, it was impossible. They say he was earning his living by flipping houses in the US at that time.

Re: Karski and reprisals
Thanks for the answer. Indeed, Wood and Jankowski 2014 mention many texts of Karski, but no one to which the date 1947 could be ascribed. I think I will look at Nora Levin's book.

Re: Karski and reprisals
Thank you very much. Thus the source is Ciechanowski's book. No more problem.
