The "Emslandlager": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emslandlager

Is there a list of the former guards of these camps ?

The grandfather of a school friend was employed as a "Wachmann" in the camps, but unfortunately I do not know whether the man was a member of the SS.
The man may also have been a member of the judiciary or the police authorities at the time.

The man came from the Ammerland region in north-west Germany, the man's last name was Hillje, but unfortunately I don't know his first name either.
Hometown was Kayhausen or Kayhauserfeld, both are small farming communities in the Ammerland region.

Hans
P.S. As far as I know, the man was already serving there when the Emsland camps were being formed.
I may have mentioned the surname Hillje earlier, then I apologize for the repetition,
