At a trial before the Soviet Military Tribunal sitting in Sachsenhausen, in August 1947, some 46 former members of Polizeibataillon 9 were convicted of war crimes in the Soviet Union in 1941. Most received the "standard" 25 years hard labour; I believe a small number were executed.
Is there a reliable source that gives names to those tried and convicted?

Thanks for this. I have the complete list of the men handed over to the Soviets including one signed by the Soviet receiving officer.
More than two died in Bautzen; the suicides at Sachsenhause4n are possibly disguised as simply deaths so far.

Re: Soviet Military Tribunal, Sachsenhausen, August 1947
Hello Steve,
In my notes I could only find 47 names extradited on Jan 17th 1947. These names are posted above and I believe I took them from the file WO 309/616
Do you know when the other approx 200 men were extradited to The Russians? Maybe a date on the Transfer list?
Secondly, Is it likely that all men would be tried in Sachsenhausen on the same Day?
Best regards
