Between September 22 and 27, 1941, close to 3,500 Jews of the town of Eišiškės were murdered by Lithuanian "white armbanders" and "SS officers". My question is, what exact German unit may have been responsible for the killings directly? I understand the murders took place in jurisdiction divvied to Einsatzkommando 3, but was it Rollkommando Hamann or a Teilkommando under Erich Wolff?
Thank you for reading.

Regarding the murders in Eišiškės, it is documented that the area fell within the jurisdiction of Einsatzkommando 3, which was a mobile killing unit of the SS Einsatzgruppen. Einsatzkommando 3 was led by SS-Standartenführer Karl Jäger. It operated in Lithuania and was responsible for the mass murder of Jews and other groups deemed undesirable by the Nazi regime.

Indeed so, evawillms, and both Hamann and Wolff were Teikommandofuehrer of EK 3 with different geographical responsibilities.
