I don't see what is "rude, racist or degrading" about it. But I encourage you to start a new thread in the Lounge and we can discuss it.
No thank you. My time is too valuable to be wasted entertaining you, I'd rather spend it here learning about the history.
Have it your way, squid boy.

Thanks, David, for reposting this cartoon!

I'm wondering if you've already read Ron Rosenbaum's "Explaining Hitler: The Search for the Origins of His Evil", particularly the chapter "Fritz Gerlich and the trial of Hitler's nose". It's fascinating (as all the book is) and a shrewd and amusing response to both racists and eugenicists.

And the ideal Aryan was "as blonde as Hitler,as slim as Goring,as tall as Goebbels,as sharp-eyed as Himmler,as handsome as Hess,as smart as Ribbentropp, and was called Rosenberg." :?

Scott, Ron don't claim this. He merely presents and debates claims made by others (the ridiculous, the absurd and the brilliant ones)! Don't try to downplay this masterpiece.

I call that Greuelpropaganda Lite. One doesn't claim it so one doesn't have to stand behind it, he just repeats a story or two and implies that they might have merit. Whatever.

Where the ideology that supported those race laws led?

Navy Vet, I forgot to post the caption:
Low combined an economy of word and concept with a phenomenal drawing talent. He was capable of the broadest of broadsides at the Prime Minister of the Day, and a moving spectacle, as here, of the dead coming back to haunt the defendants of the Nuremburg Trials of Nazi War Criminals, in a cartoon published on October 1st 1946.

After reading G. M. Gilbert "Nuremberg Diary", it's hard to imagine (as Low did) those "human beings" feeling contrition and kneeling before the victims of their crimes. Principally that rascal at the far right, on the front row.

I don't think the logic flies. There would not have been this:

without this:

And it takes quite a Genocide theory-of-history to say that the 1935 race laws (which I do not support) led to World War.

I didn't say or imply this. It would be better IMO to say: the mindset that produced and supported German racial laws was the same that produced and supported German attack on defenseless countries, pushing one more time the rest of Europe and EUA into a slaughtertime.
