In the first video, the narrator mentions that in the last days of April 1945, nine Wehrmacht soldiers were hanged in the Pankrac execution room because they refused to continue fighting the Allies.

A total of 549 people were shot at the Kobylisy firing Range. The last three victims were active participants of the Prague uprising. It is mentioned that during these executions truck and car engines were started and kept running to muffle the shots. An SS doctor pronounced the victims dead after the executions. The bodies were placed in wooden caskets and taken to Strasnice crematorium were they were cremated, just like Pankrac fallbeil victims.

Remo Sottili, Pietro Pironi, and Giuliano Sbigoli were guillotined by Johann Reichhart in Munich Stadelheim prison on 29 August 1944.
The 22 year old Pietro PIRONI, the 20 year old Giuliano SBIGOLI and the 32 year old Remo SOTTILI were transferred to the Munich-Stadelheim prison on August 19, 1944. There, in two minute intervals at 17:01, 17:03 and 17:05 on August 29, 1944 they were guillotined by executioner Johann Reichhart. The University of Erlangen anatomy department kept the three bodies for medical instruction without the knowledge of their families. After the end of the war the mother of Giuliano SBIGOLI attempted to discover if he had been given the Last Rites and where his grave was located as »this would be a great consolation for a mother.« She was at least able to get her son’s ID photo that had been included in his implementation file.

It is quite possible. Nazis certainly hanged and shot Italian women, especially the ones connected with the resistance.

A rare case of guillotine suicide

A forensic case of a guillotine suicide. The homemade guillotine had metal frame rails to guide the blade. It also used a weighted blade. We have not been able to find any photos of Nazi guillotine beheadings showing the victim still on the guillotine bench with the severed head. There are photos in this case. Questions have been asked about the amount of blood lost in decapitation of this type. Imagine repeating something like this 32 times in two minute intervals. That's how many people some Nazi executioners guillotined in a single session.

I do not have comprehensive lists of guillotined victims for all execution sites. I have the ones for Pankrac, Vienna, Hamburg/Altona, Stuttgart, Frankfurt-Preungesheim, Wolfenbuettel, and a list of more than 1500 Ploetzensee political prisoners who were guillotined. The nationality is not always listed, usually they list the place of birth though. I have not seen any Italian women on these lists, but these lists represent only a small fraction of guillotined prisoners in the Third Reich.

I have not seen any lists for Brandenburg-Gorden, Stadelheim, Danzing, Konigsberg, Dreibergen-Butzov, Bruchsal, Wroclaw, Katowice, Poznan, Halle, Koln, Dresden, Hannover, Weimar, or Graz.

Pankrac executions; 155 women from 1075 total, which is 14.4 percent.

Vienna executions: 93 women from about 1200 total, which is 7.8 percent.

An article on Dortmund executions

There is some interesting information in this article. Dortmund was designated as one of the official execution sites of the German Reich from June 1943 to the beginning of January 1945. The executions were typically carried out once a week.

Five people were beheaded in Dortmund with a hand axe. Four were beheaded on 30 August 1934 for politically motivated crimes. A convicted robber murderer was also beheaded with an axe on 26 February 1936. After 1936 no beheadings were carried out in Dortmund until guillotine executions started in June 1943.

5 January 1945 was the date of the last guillotine execution. Five people were beheaded, but not by the executioner, but by prison officials. The remaining condemned prisoners were transferred to Wolfenbuettel prison a week later.

Some notable execution dates where 10 prisoner total execution limit was exceeded:

15 November 1943: 19 people beheaded

30 June 1943: 18 people beheaded

18 October 1943: 17 people beheaded

2 June 1943: 12 people beheaded

15 September 1944: 11 people beheaded

22 September 1944: 11 people beheaded
