Are you sure this is the correct link, Pete? The book doesn´t have any page numbers.
The page numbers are handwritten in small numbers on top of each page. I believe that chapter 10 starts on page 175 (that page number is on the bottom of page).
Thanks, that answers my question and explains my confusion. No access here in my country behind chapter 6 and even until then only partially.

Not sure if this has been posted here, but great demonstration video. I wonder if this is a real Tegel or just a very accurate replica.

Yes, this video was posted here about three months ago. See page 445, last post.

This is not a real Tegel fallbeil, only a nice replica. It was built by a Czech machinist Sebecek, whose hobbies include building guillotine models, and a few full size ones too.

The text at the end of the video at 2:10:

"In prisons of the Nazi Third Reich 17000 death sentences were carried out by beheading machines."

"He, who forgets his past, is sentenced to live through it again."

I have a question for Pete:

Why were so many Czech army officers executed? Wouldn't the normally to a Prisoner of War camp?

Sorry Pete, my last question wasn't clear. Wouldn't officers normally be sent to a prisoner of war camp? I find it odd that they were executed
