That hardly applies to this case however
I was thinking more of the Holocaust memorial in Detroit.
When my oldest daughter was in 6th grade, she had a several week "unit" on Holocaust History. When it was over, I asked what she thought of it and her answer was very telling: "They made it sound like Jews were the only ones killed."
Our class actually handled it fairly well, our teacher made a pie chart on the board with the percentages of each group which was involved.

If Alf cannot find any evidence, it can only be because he has not looked very far.

I suggest he consult the entry "Karaites" in the 4-volume "Encyclopedia of the Holocaust", edited by Israel Gutman, where he will find the information posted by me. That is the source that I got it from.

I would suggest that the above publication is more authoritative than the obscure website referred to by Alf.

A few years ago I corresponded with an Auschwitz survivor who became a history teacher in Israel on the issue of the Karaites. He confirmed to me that the information in the Encyclopedia was accurate, and that Crimean Karaites were not very popular in Israel because of their wartime collaboration with the Germans; the Egyptian Karaites were considered innocent however.

One question has not been addressed on this thread as yet:

Were the homosexuals sent to the concentration camps in Germany all German citizens who had been convicted under the articles in the German Criminal Code that made homosexual acts an offence?

Or were homosexuals from all the German-occupied countries rounded up and sent to concentration camps? If so, under what law?
