Timo, I think your problem is that you thing American Jews don't brag about New York being very Jewish. They don't like it when people use derrogitory language, thus when Jesse Jackson called New York "Hymie Town" he was forced to appologise, but when a Jew says something like "Brooklyn and Israel are the same thing" nobody gets mad.

I think there are more Jews in New York than in Israel, and no one in America feels akward about pointing it out.
