On St Valentines day 2 13(?) 1947 the first 4 executino by firing squad took place.
Dimitris Kosturas chose not to have a hood placed over his head-
Petrid Demosthenes
John Drabek
Josef Kaminski
An intersting bit of trivia on Kosturas was when my uncle asked if he had any last request as he was about to be tied to the execution post. He asked my uncle if he had a candy bar since he saw my uncle pull some from his coat the night before. My uncle gave him a Krakel candy bar he ate shortly before he was executed.

Hello ansata1976,
Deppe, Durschke and Stork had killed five US airmen in Hohenhausen (County Lippe) in 1944 after an emergency landing.
Some details on the matter here:

The following general links will give you access to databases with original material from numerous US trials against Germans:

Re: Dachau Trials & Landsberg Executions
Hello Marcus,
I've been searching for any information for STIER, HERMANN, who appears on the Mauthausen list and shows as
being executed on 5.9.47. I would be grateful for any help.
As a matter of interest, for many years I owned an SS sword that was engraved on the hilt and scabbard throat
with the name V. ZOLLER and a 77,xxx serial number. It came out of a barn in California in 1972 and I sold it in Colorado in 1982. I notice that a ZOLLER, VIKTOR is near the bottom of the Mauthausen list and was executed 28.5.47 I have to assume that this was the previous owner of the sword.

You're probably seeking information about LUDWIG STIER, captain of Wehrmacht, who was a company commander in Neudorf - subcamp of Mauthausen.
He was born on 11 October 1895. He was a teacher. On 1 March 1932 he entered NSDAP and on 26 August he became a soldier of Wehrmacht. In June 1944 he became the company commander in Neudorf. He supervised an evacuation of this camp between 2 and 12 April 1945. He ordered to shot prisoners unable to march. He also directly shot prisoners while the death march.
He was sentenced to death by the American Military Tribunal in Dachau in trial US vs. Ernst Walter Dura et al. And now the mystery occures, whether he was executed on 5 September 1947 or died on this date from natural causes. What is interesting defendants Kurt Emil Schmutzler and Alois Höllriegl, who were also sentenced to death in this trial, were executed on completely different date (29 October 1948). This is a still unsolved mystery for me:(

Re: Dachau Trials & Landsberg Executions
Leo, many thanks for your reply.
If you go to the very first posting on this thread by Marcus back in 2004, under Mauthausen you'll find
a HERMANN STIER who was executed on 5.9.47. That's the individual in which I'm interested.

Re: Dachau Trials & Landsberg Executions
Hello Adler
Sorry to say, but I think Markus made a mistake on this one. If you look to the site to which I've provided a link in my second post, there is no Hermann Stier sentenced by Dachau Tribunal in Mauthausen personel trials. I'm pretty sure that there even was no guard Hermann Stier in Mauthausen. The right answer is LUDWIG STIER, the only Stier convicted in Mauthausen personel trials conducted in Dachau. These are the threads that confirm it:
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... &p=1205666
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=96918
It's not a coincident that Ludwig Stier and, non-existent Hermann Stier IMO, died on the same day... So I'm 100% sure that was an error in Stier's first name in 2004 Markus post.
Greetings
Leo

Leo:
Based on your information, I agree that there must have been an error made in STIER'S first name on that list.
I very much appreciate your effort. Are you located in Europe?
