Question for Germans:How many civilian deaths in your family
I've read in revisionist materials that increidible numbers of Germans died in the aftermath of WWII. I'm not talking about those fatalities due to ethnic cleansing alone, but all deaths, due to slave labor in Russia, epidemics, starvation etc. after the end of the war. I'd like to ask the Germans on this forum about their own families, both immediate and extended (cousins, uncles in laws etc.). Are they aware of family members dying due to the horrible conditions right after the war, whether directly through allied efforts or due to general horrible economic conditions.
