Surviving The Gas -- An Option?

#1

Post by Birgitte Heuschkel » 18 Sep 2002, 23:27

I've been charged with the happy assignment of determining whether there were indeed cases where inmates sent to the gas chambers in Auschwitz and Dachau ever survived the treatment and had to be 'mercy' shot after.

Does anyone know where to find a final answer to that question? One Franciszek Blaha testified that it was indeed an occurance in Dachau.

I made nonsense with the splitting a thread function (or it doesn't work correctly), so the responses to this post are now in the thread Surviving The Gas -- An Option? II except Scott's which is now the first post in the thread "Auschwitz trial and the IMT" (Scott, maybe you can edit this post and leave it blank or explain where this thread comes from etc.)

Sorry, will not happen again.
