Re: The official AHF Kriegsmarine quiz thread
hi,
and now I`m burdened  with the nice task to decide who of you gets the price ...
IMO, finding the HMS PRINCE EUGENE was the hardest part.
Thus, the next question goes to ... France !
greetings, the pb
P.S. sorry, Peter, I`m going to make it up at the next possibility

That´s really no problem!
In any case I would have proposed, that OLIVIER takes the next turn!

hi, Olivier,
a process of elimination (which destroyer is it not ...) leads me to the assumption that this is Z 24 sinking off Le Verdon in August 1944.
greetings, the pb

Thanks... and sorry for the delay.
Next question may be quite easy for Kriegsmarine experts, still I haven't found a better one.
What ships are shown in this photo?
Best regards, Aleks

hi, Aleks,
Did I give you the idea ?
T 24 (foreground) and Z 24 being attacked (and damaged/sunk) by the RAF off Le Verdon (Bay of Biscay), August 24, 1944.
greetings, the pb

hi,
Ten (10) E-boats were - at least partially - lost due to a very special kind of "friendly fire".
