I also thank you very much for showing these interesting pictures of Flottenbegleiter here, VLADALEX.
Some of them are part of my personel collection and in fact I know all of them. So please allow me some corrections of wrongly identified pics, at least as far as I know them, of course:

F-8.jpg --> F 7, F 8, F 6, F 9 from left to right
F-9-1.jpg --> F 3
F-10-2.jpg --> F 8, F 10, F 9 from left to right
F-7-2.jpg --> possibly F 5
F-6-0.jpg --> F 3
F-5-1.jpg --> F 8 and boats of the 15th and 19th minesweeping flottilla
F-5.jpg --> probably F 7

Greetings from Austria
Peter K.

Thanks again for your second patch of pics, VLADALEX.

In this case especially the comment of Mr. BREYER concerning F-4.jpg is nonsens, because all boats from F 1 to F 5 had this square bridge as originally built and only F 6 has a special rounded one. During their first rebuilt F 1 to F 5 got a new rounded bridge, which was also mounted on F 9 to F 10 as originally built.

The different pennant numbers is a topic, which I am researching for several years with no final result. I think it was something like trial and error to find a version with sufficient visibility for the own forces, which was not too showy. Concerning these things F-1-2.jpg is a very interesting pic for me, because it is the only one I know with this very large version including the F. The boat is seen here after the first rebuilt with the new bridge, but still with the high funnels. I would highly appreciate any information about the use of this style of the pennant number.

Hi Sturm78! I believe you're in the wrong section and would have a much better chance of an answer in the Uboot section.

I got this photo in a lot, but can't ID it. The Flottentorpedoboot 1940 T62 was never launched, so it isn't that (also, two funnels). So does anyone know which ship this is?

Thanks in advance,
- Björn

hi,

this is a German destroyer, type "Zerstörer 1934 A".

The hull number "62" was used by 3 different ships, Z 9 WOLFGANG ZENKER, Z 10 HANS LODY and Z 11 BERND VON ARNIM.

As all 3 were built by the Germaniawerft, Kiel, it is difficult to say which ship is shown here.
